Product Description
A modern dress watch backed by more than 100 years of watchmaking expertise, the Glycine Combat 6 36-millimeter Automatic sits small on the wrist for an understated, subtle look. It clearly takes cues from traditional pilot watches (it is Glycine, after all), but this timepiece wouldn’t have anyone scoffing at a sophisticated get-together Read More

I have had an eye on this brand, Glycine, for a time now. But how can it be that the price is reduced this much, are these timepieces defective in someway ?

The build quality of Hamilton varies between their lines, they have some more expensive better builds and some less higher quality cheaper watches. I was addressing the particular comment regarding the build quality/ price ratio of Combat 6 vs. other watches within competitive price. This Combat 6 is priced accordingly IMO compared to other similar Swiss watches on the market. It's a good watch that probably should be inline with less expensive watches in Hamilton Jazzmaster series. I have Navy Sub Hamilton and its build quality is terrific and compares favorably to watches costing as much as five times more.
MD Glycine prices are ok, but Invicta now clearing their old inventory and these watches can be get at good price elsewhere. If you're in the market for Glycine look at ToMo they regularly feature Glycine at great price.

I have many Glycimic from year 2000 to 2004 and non of them were 50 meter, all of them were from 100 meter and beyond. Now I like this watch very much. And was looking to get a tag very similar for price 1,500. But the face of the tag one is Al solid black the other still black with round texture Wich is great looking.

Wow, just received my blue faced watch from this drop. It's stunning; well worth the 12 months I've been watching drops to wait for the right one to come up. Thanks MassDrop! I'll probably swap the blue leather band for a dark brown band as the other poster did... can now see how that will make this an even classier watch (blue band still great for a more casual look).

Thanks! I'm loving it too. For anyone who is considering the same, the strap is a kirsch lucca.
REP, please confirm if the white dial brown strap model comes with the "crown" logo as pictured in this drop, because I recently bought that same model from another retailer and it came with the "wings" logo as pictured on the other models in this drop. I will be royally pissed off if I buy this white dial brown strap model and for the second time receive the model with the wings logo despite listing photo's showing the crown logo. So PLEASE confirm which logo we are going to get! Also the indices are outlined in black in this drop, but the wings logo models no longer have the black outline on the indices. So I will lodge a paypal claim if I receive anything other than the picture you have listed.

PeppinoThis is what the watch will look like if you order the white dial brown strap model, it differs from mass drop's current listing photo:

VirguleFighting its way out from the Chinese hordes where it was manufactured? Reminds me of the old timers tale from the Korean War: "There I was. Out of ammo. My entire unit dead or wounded. Across the river 10,000 screaming China men advanced on my position. Was I scared? You bet I was scared. Scared one of them might get away...."

Got mine from Ebay a few months ago ... An absolute steal for the price, here on MD! It looks gorgeous, it's light, the lume's fine, at 36mm it wears nicely on smaller wrists, gets a lot of attention from watch snobs and keeps very precise time (+ 2-3 sec/day). The strap is fine, I guess, but I swapped it for a nice Hirsch Lucca in dark brown leather on day one and have never looked back! I love it. Hell, I might even get another one with the white dial 😜

Onboard for the two-tone with SS bracelet, how can you go wrong with a Glycine at this price? A small Glycine dress watch seemed like the right thing to join my larger everyday Combat Sub and Airman 12. Go for it!

LewLewDude, I'm 6'1" and 250. I have a 36mm Rolex Date and it looks fine. It's normal. You've just become acclimated to guys wearing watches the size of Frisbees on their wrists. 43mm is big. I just ordered that Combat Chrono that ended earlier this week. That one is 43mm and WAY bigger than my Speedmaster Chrono. 36mm is FINE.

Im just starting getting into watches, would this be a good first Automatic watch? I feel like its a bit too ''dressy'' for a simple IT guy, mostly going to wear it at work and nights out.

Yeah.. This week only I probably spent more than that on drinks and dinner lol, damn you alright imma snatch it right up. If you also have a nice watch case to propose, I have like 3 other watches and they just sit on the side of my desk or in their boxes.
Well nevermind, I waited too long to get one and now the black on black I wanted is sold out, that'll teach me :/

I didn't get the 48mm combat sub because its too big and I can't get this as its too small... Need a 40 or 42 mm watch.

sheelo73If you like the looks of this one check out the Glycine moonphase. It's 40mm and just as great looking as the 36mm.
