What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. You don't call up Drake's ghost writer and be like "yo man I know Drake's got his gig in Boston scheduled for the 25th but I reaaaaaaaaally can't make the 25th bro any way you can nudge that to the 28th? Cheers bro xo". Of course you'll make a fool out of yourself. Would I have responded in the same way @T0mb3ry did? Probably not, I don't care enough to, but you should respect the answers you get when you're basically asking around for charity.
Lastly, insulting someone's second (or third, or 4th, or 5th as it actually is in our cases) language is incredibly clever, especially considering I am 100% confident my English is far superior to yours in any way shape or form. You do you though, seems kinda unhealthy to lash out in this way over a plastic keyboard key but who am I judge ey.
It's like asking the author of a book to just give you a free copy of their book because they made it and you happened to rip out like 5 pages of the book on accident.
You obviously don't understand the intricacies of decent communication and conduct very well. You're being way too entitled as a consumer who messed up his own shit. Plain and simple.
