Hi, do you also have measurements for the thigh & calfs on the medium? Also is the inseam waist to ankle bone? Is there a high rise on these above belt line? Help appreciated.
Ozzie3015
The medium thigh will be around 26", calf around 18".
Inseam is crotch to ankle.
The rise will be a couple inches above the belt.
GooseFeet
Thankyou!
Hi @GooseFeet could you please tell me the hip and thigh circumference of the L, I have big legs and wondering if these off the rack will fit. Thanks.

Forgot to mention the hip measurement. For the large, it should accommodate a max of around 45" hips.
Would the medium be ridiculously large on a female 5’7” 135 lbs? BTW, I’ve been fantasizing about down pants for winter camping for years;)
madloki
No, I think they should work for you! The down helps to take up any extra space and the elastic waist can be cinched down a good bit. :)
would these be considered the baffled option on your website @GooseFeet ? Also why on your site do you recommend at least 5.5 fill? Thx
Saaz83
No, these are sewn-through. I recommend the 5.5oz of fill with the baffled option because of the extra space that is created with the box baffling.
what size do you get if you’re a 30 waist?
Miv06
You should be good with the Medium and tightening the elastic waist. Or you could get a custom pair through my website. :)
I am keenly interested... Can someone share how much shipping and duty would be to Canada (Edmonton, AB to be more exact?)
Minnehik
I'm not sure how much the Massdrop shipping to Canada is, but it usually costs us around $12 or so to ship a pair to Canada.
I got my wife a pair of these pants last Christmas. We ordered straight from Goosefeet and sent in her measurements so they were tailored to her (she has big quads and so stock womens pants generally don't fit). She f'n loves them. She runs cold and I run warm, so if I have thermals on and she has these pants we are well matched. Were they necessary... probably not, but I consider them a great investment. Happy wife happy life.
Are there smaller sizes available?
Are there smaller sizes available as part of the drop?

What is waist size for Medium?
VerdeDragon
Medium is 30-35 Large is 36-40
I'm a 34-35" waist, depending on the pants. I read the advice to size up but I'm worried they'll be too baggy. Anyone have a 35" waist and experience with these pants?

39 is a medium… wow America you are fat
CanaryBurgundy
Uh -- we are fat to be fair. But your logic makes no sense. The pants are made of a material without stretch, the down has significant loft, he is referencing a hip measurement, and they are puffy pants with a draw string closure (i.e. expect a relaxed fit).
I have had a pair of these pants for several years now and they are amazing. They compliment my down anorak (which is also another custom piece from Ben at GooseFeet Gear) well when backpacking in cold weather. Sure, they are puffy but I appreciate all that warm puffiness when the temps dip. Great build quality and high quality materials, at a lower price than I have found from other similar pieces from big name brands. Awesome gear and Ben is a great guy.
Will these make my butt look big?!?
My pals love these pants! I confess jonesing for them too. My luck is sitting on something sharp n sprouting feathers like a game bird! 😜 That said...at - 5 with a shell...toasty. So tempted..swear I am!
I wore these beneath my waders to fly fish this past winter. Worked very well. Obviously, keep them dry and avoid compressing the loft.
I live in Orange County Calif. Can someone explain this snow stuff? Cold? Like when it gets below 60F, right? We just put on long pants when it gets cold. And stop wearing sandals. ;)

So I'm wearing my down pants as I type this.  Soooo comfortable and looking for the blizzard to hit so I can try these out with a little snowshoeing and while snow blowing the 2 feet we're expecting.  I'll be wearing the pants under Gore-Tex active pants.

Do you have the 3.5 ounce or 5.5 ounces of fill? Just wondering how bulky the 5.5 ounce fill would be.
Meeks
3.5. For my use they are very warm.
Haven't shopped around too much but this seems a little pricey for 850 fill, doesn't it?
sahin11
If you can find a pair of down pants with 850fp down that are made in the USA for less, please let me know!
Ben would be possible to get a pair in 10D?

Send me an email and I'll see what I can do.
Just got both custom jacket and pants!! Love them both:

looooooooooool :D
I would be more interested in a down skirt/kilt with a full side zipper. Easier to just throw on your regular pants and then pack away, when you get moving again.
jari.perho
I can certainly do something along those lines! Email me at ben@goosefeetgear.com for a quote!
GooseFeet
I'll get back to you as soon as I return from my upcoming winter camping trip.
Cool! I would wear these never.
Motorrad
Don't be a downer
hahahahahahahahah who would wear these pants lol :-)
skip8402
My thoughts exactly!!! If you go somewhere that requires this, then a full suit like that from TNF would be the way to go!

Lots of people already have down jackets, and if your lower body gets cold in the evenings at camp, these are the perfect lightweight remedy!
Are these male/men pants?
Blakrock11
These are unisex sized
GooseFeet
Thanks!
Had an overstuffed pair from him, years ago, back when he made them in (D)CF. If I still used animal down gear I would probably buy another pair of these from GFG. Nice job MD on getting these!
Michelin Man. Now the obvious resemblance is stated, jokes ensue, and great - we can move on to the discussion of the awesomeness of these down pants. If you camp in the snow, or spend a lot of time outdoors in the winter, you have to consider these.
