qu11355Take a look through the comments, it's been asked before. My take is that the m9xx has better technology, from the USB 2 asynchronous data interface (ODAC uses USB 1), to the XMOS data reclocking, to the hybrid volume control, multiple isolating power supplies, and its transimpedance amp running on higher voltage rails. I don't have the O2, but I do have the ODAC and it can sound very good under the right conditions and is a good value, though it is noticeably more "digital" sounding than the Grace. But the Grace can handle more USB noise and faulty timing issues, can deal with more data formats, and its amp can get more performance out of a wider range of headphones.

qu11355definitely beats 02 0dac. ODAC is a good sounding dac though for 100 bucks. Might be all you need. It all depends. Grace is sort of light, tight and refined sounding, hard to explain. Really good for natural instruments though I listen to a lot of EDM. Really too it drives the headphones it can with it's limited power supply just about as well as they can ever be. I really only recommend grace m9xx if you're using low impedence headphones or C(IEMS). But damn does it sound clear, no background noise and is a real treat.

SocrateaseGlad to see this Grace Design unit is doing well after the first drop. I think the first drop had less then 260 units sold with planned 500. But now I see each drop they do its selling good, very good. Which tells me the word is traveling around how good this unit is. I had the big brother Grace Design M920 and it was a fabulous unit I sold it because I needed the cash but Grace Design truly makes great products and has world class customer service. One thing that stood out from the M920 that seems present with this unit is the isolated USB/power that is not something you see that is in this price range and even American Made. It really makes a big difference with making listening a quieter affair.
