Okay, still a little undecided. I got a Topping D3 DAC with a e09k AMP. Could anyone ( knowing the components) maybe tell me if it is worth upgrading? I'm not one of these guys with too much money, you know. I could afford them if needed, but would be kinda dissappointed if I could not hear any improvement. Yeah, I know this is a very specific question, but I hope for someone to help me out.

UhluDunno, since I don't have this DAC yet, but I think your combination isn't too bad at all. Kinda liked the D3. Not too sure about the FiiO, but Reviewers seem to like this one also. I don't think you "have to upgrade" to the grace.

UhluI own the Grace and also some cheaper Dacs. Really it might sound marginally better but only if you're looking for it. Sometimes I listen to the ODAC instead of my m9xx because it's more open than the m9xx, but the m9xx has better separation and slightly tighter detail. Usually though a good Dac is a good Dac, which is good ;-). The E09K is alright but has a huge output impedence of 8 ohms so it's not good for low-impedance headphones. For headphones of generally higher impedance it's an alright amp with tons of power to spare. I don't think it flushes the bass out quite enough in a planarmagnetic but it handles any dynamics with ease. I still wouldn't recommend it. Perhaps you should get an Asgard or something if you want to stand up your amp game.

UzuzuDid not understand that impendence stuff yet, sorry. Dunno what that means. What Ohm would you call high impendence hf?
