Made by hand in Minneapolis, these shell cordovan watch straps by Guarded Goods feature a one-piece, slip-through design compatible with most watches. Hand-stitched with waxed thread for added durability, they’re also hand-sanded, -beveled, and -burnished with beeswax Read More
I usually like guarded goods products but this item was especially underwhelming. The shell was extremely thin and the buckle was also mediocre quality
I like the strap, being unlined makes it cooler to wear too. The only problem is that the keeper was slightly crooked, but you won't be looking at the keeper when worn. I think it is worth it for the price you pay for a cordovan strap. I would give it a 4.5 star
I've had mine two and a half years now, and it's by far the most comfortable watch strap I've ever worn. I can easily forget my rather heavy Tissot is there. Yes, it's only about 1mm thick, but I think that's partly why it's so supple. Scratches quickly disappear with rubbing and of course there are no creases or cracks. The leather keeper is nice and wide, and the metal keeper helps as well. (Yes, it's slightly crooked but after a couple of days I didn't care. No one sees it.)
This design is a nice way to get the security of a NATO without tons of extra strap length. Not suitable for a dressy thin watch, and if you're after a thick padded look then this isn't that. But it feels great, looks great and is damn near indestructible.
