We shouldn't NEED welfare programs. Welfare programs are meant to be a safety net for when you lose a job, or for when you become crippled, or for those who literally can't work. As it is though, it's being used to supplement the fact that employers aren't willing to pay employees a livable wage. You know the system is fucked up when people who are considered middle class need to he on welfare themself (don't have the like to the article handy).

Would these be a good set of starter decks for someone who played a very long time ago?

BkwiatekIt depends. If you want to set up a play group with a few interested friends, these decks could make for a good time, but if you're looking for decks that you can play out of the box and play at a store, or even modify to play with at a constructed event, like an FNM, these aren't the best choice. Most of the cards are one-ofs, and many of them are older reprints that can't be played in Standard. These decks could make for a fun "CCG board game" experience if you pit them against one another, but the variance in them may make getting back into Magic with them a little bit frustrating.
It's actually a little unclear just who this product is for, but if I had to make a guess, I'd say it's aimed at Commander players and collectors: the alternate art is fantastic (I'm definitely putting the new Niv Mizzet into my Niv draw-to-win deck) and there are lots of fun toys, and potential commanders, that you can play with in these lists. Also, the pins are a nice bit of theme-bling: you can wear one to your LGS to rep the guild your commander hails from.
If you're looking to pick up a starter product, I'd wait for the next set of Challenger decks. The Planeswalker decks aren't the greatest starting experience, but the last series of Challenger decks were a great sampling of different deck archetypes that you could play out of the box, and upgrade easily. Fingers crossed that Wizards releases another set soon.

These kits do not come with foil planeswalker cards, or any planeswalker cards for that matter. There is a special foil “Guild Leader” legendary creature in each kit. The Guild leader cards are reprints of existing cards, like the rest of the kit, but with exclusive new artwork.

labiblioteca4I mean, Deathrite Shaman is in there. It's sort of a planeswalker, but you can definitely find it in a bunch of other locations...

Just 3 weeks ago here this drop was 79.99$ and its 99.99$ on amazon so this @ 75$ is a deal! I am a little salty that these popped up cheaper shortly after... I got in on the higher drop...

Hey, I just got my guild kits from the latest of this drop and I did not receive any Planeswalkers. In the overview page, the description included a statement like this: "There’s also a foil Planeswalker card you can’t find anywhere else." Does anyone know what is going on? Getting the foil Planeswalker was the biggest reason I bought this drop in the first place.
