Everyone you’re correct! This watch is overpriced ! Pass
This is seriously overpriced drop! A couple of months ago I bought gray model for $448 at ToMo (plus $10 shipping). They regularly have it there, so watch out for sales and coupons.
I was mildly interested in the green model until I saw that it's +$70. The only difference is the colour...
boozed
+1 on this.
Jomashop has it for 719.00 not much of a savings.
stettenbauer
That’s right. You’ve got it. Plus they charge $45 tax for NJ and CA customers. Jomashop is much better.
its 70 bucks more than it was last drop!
Is the bezel steel/aluminum or ceramic?
Beary
Aluminum
blue sold out? so sad :(
Why is this drop more expencive than other places that sales it for 559$ with world wide shipping?
Guyp
Where?
This watch is back on touch of modern for $560
Brutus83
& where
What does the nato strap look like for the black dial? I owned the blue dial and the was a red/white/blue strap, but that wouldn't also match the black dial watch.
I'm probably in the minority out there, but that's one of my favourite Hamilton designs. Sadly not my priority, saving up for a Seiko LE that won't last 2 weeks once it's out again...
This is a $50 lower price than the last drop. It's a great watch. Good size, the strap is incredibly comfortable.

Here, on the last drop. While I wish I could have gotten it for $50 less, it was still a good value (my opinion only).
kpcorbin
nice watch, I bought the chrono version.
The description says 10 watches of each available... only two total watches have been purchased... HOW are all the Blue ones sold out? I went to join the drop but blue is sold out? Am I missing something?

Not even one blue, I tried to get a blue one as the drop went live, no dice!
jarcamp
Exactly why I am not getting in on this drop It's a sharp watch, but I want it in blue; the grey model is very hard to read.
For those curious about the movement.
Description Movement based on the ETA 2836-2 / C07.111. The following changes have been implemented; - The entire kinematic chain has been refined, from the barrel to the escapement - The escapement regulator has been suppressed, facilitating optimal reliability and precision - The main spring has been improved to increase a typical power reserve of 80 hours. - The mono-block rotor is distinctively skeletonized with an “H” shape and aviation-inspired cut-outs, a signature of individualization.

This appears to be a clearing-out of sorts, that would explain the odd # of available units. Must be a new model PE coming soon...was one unveiled at SIHH?
mrfuriouser
I don't think so, they just introduced a green model PE in October of last year.
Blue sold out? I thought MD mentioned 10pcs each? lol
Pan Europ was $560 at ToMo yesterday, 2 year mfr. warranty included. I'll pass on this MD deal.
brainwave
ToMo? Please explain i am from galaxy far far away. Cheers

Touch of modern. www.touchofmodern.com
Does this watch have hacking seconds? Can it be manually wound?
P.S. It'd be nice if this information was included in all automatic watches.
DoriroD
Yes to both.
This or the Glycine Airman?
lukinid
I took the Airman, which got a huge heritage and is without doubt an icon watch in the area of aviation watches.
Hey all, there's some confusion about what will be arriving with the watches. The watch will come in a box with an extra NATO strap and a strap changing tool. The page will be updated to reflect this.

Thanks for the follow-up for the community.

Received the watch today, and it included everything you would expect. The large presentation box, manual, extra nylon strap and changing tool.
Outstanding package.
I received a note from Gwen in MD support indicating that they believe it will be the watch, only. No other items or packaging. They're continuing to check, but that's what I was told. That being said, I'll pass on the drop. Body of the message from MD Support:
"Hello, Thank you for contacting Massdrop Community Support. My name is Gwen, and I would be happy to help. Looking at the drop page, it does not seem to have an "included" section. This leads me to believe it will include the watch only. Also, there is no manufacturer's warranty listed, which means it will only have our 30 day returns option for being defective or not as advertised. I have reached out to our Logistics Team requesting more information. I have also informed them that there are quite a few inquiries about this on the discussion board, including yours. Hopefully, they will be able to provide some answers, and if any of the things you mentioned are included, update the drop page as well."

Hi, Vincent. Thanks for the reply. I assume that means the box, NATO strap, changing tool and manuals?
kpcorbin
Yes, the vendor has confirmed all will be included.
Has the questions on the NATO strap and box asked earlier been answered?
At these prices a hard pass
Easy pass, the chrono has been 599 a couple times this year. This should be 399 tops

Not here, on ashford, refer to SD page here"https://slickdeals.net/f/10320368-hamilton-timeless-classic-pan-europ-automatic-chronograph-watch-599-50-less-w-amex-free-shipping"
Its gone now, but I cant imagine paying more for one after a deal like that, especially a non-chrono.
jilgil
Good info, I like Ashford. Thanks for sharing, that info really does make a difference when deciding which way to go...
*Looks at Hamilton Pan Europ Automatic on wrist purchased a year ago for a lot more* "DAMN!"
Hi ,does anyone know if this comes with a nato strap and remover tool?
It's the same thing .....only different.
So the Massdrop price is all of $10 cheaper than where you can get it everywhere else?
MrH42
Where? I've looked and not seen it at this price so would appreciate some links. Thanks.

Jomashop
I would also appreciate a response from a member of Massdrop to the questions above.
A racing chronograph watch without a chronograph..... Seems abit strange to me :P
Torulf
Trust me sometimes you just want racing element without chrono function. Chrono is just expensive to service.
Torulf
The original 70s Pan Europ was a chronograph. One of the reissues is a bicompax chronograph, but the one here, the other reissue, is a three-hander. Don't know if there was a three-hander back in the 70s.
