I've used just about every brand of hydration bladder over the years and these are by far my favorite. They are easy to fill, easy to clean and hang up to dry. The detachable hose is also easy to clean and there is good flow from the bite valve and very little nasty plastic taste to the bladder. I have 2 of these that I swap out and it's all I use now.
Works great, Easy to use, Easy to clean. haven't had any problems. The bite valve is easy to take apart and clean to ensure it doesn't get dirty. The bag seams strong, I haven't had any leaks.
Pretty good bag, great value. I've used mine on three 2-3 day trips. The opening isn't very large, so filling it isn't as easy as, say, a Camelbak – but it is far lighter than a Camelbak! It's heavier than a Platypus, depending on which Platypus (and Platypus has several size openings). I get the impression it is more anti-microbial than my Platypus as well. the mouthpiece attracts dirt less easily as well.
Overall I'm happy with it and with the price.
This is a great reservoir. I got need the 3 ltrs hiking in the WMNF. HydraPak even replaced the reservoir when I got a hole in it. Great Product - Great customer service!
Used this on multiple hikes and really just love the convenience, especially when it comes to cleaning. Was my first water bladder and really didn't disappoint.
Seems to work fine but figuring out how/where exactly to open it to get water in wasn't at all obvious to me. A better diagram - or an arrow and text printed on the bladder - would help. The insulated tube seems to work decently in hot weather, a pleasant surprise.
Im going to chalk this up to both my clumsiness and poor design. I put a hole in mine the first day I used it. There is a ‘handle’ looking part just below the flap that you open to fill it. It was pretty insirinctive for me to pull up on that part when looking to lift the flap after taking the clip off. The repeated pulling resulted in a small hole which made my pack pretty wet when I set it down.
A pretty good Reservoirs, I got mine in a few years ago. Served me in Iceland, New Zealand, a couple of ski trips and 2 Larps. I have a small from the Plug-N-Play connector on the reservoir itself. The only thing that was kind unconvinced for me is it's hard to flip the reservoirs inside out for cleaning. Definitely get the HydraFusion if you plan to be below -5 c / 23 f
