I have been a convert to boxer briefs for hiking, to avoid that horrible-feeling thigh-rub rash. Problem is that most of them are made of synthetics, which sound great and feel nice a slippy. However, THE STINK by the end of the first day. With these IceBreakers I get the comfort of cotton, the slippyness of synthetics, the temperature regulation of wool and NO STINK! NONE! Three days of solid, sweaty hiking and nothing! Bought more.

I like these quite a bit. They're comfortable but do tend to ride up a little after several hours of wearing. They come with a bunch of ridiculous care tags on the inside that I carefully cut out but it's just weird they're there to begin with. Be cautious that these are not meant to be machine dried so that could be an inconvenience if you're not expecting that, but for the most part I'm very happy with them. I would have preferred different color options as the two pairs I purchased we're pretty bold colored but I went with what was available so I have only myself to blame for committing to the options offered.

The horizontal stitching rubs a bit and makes it feel like your pants and falling down. The tags are ridiculously long and will need to be cut out (or am I wearing them inside out?) I ordered a SmartWool version to compare.

These wool boxers feel good. They stay warm even when fully wet, and are very antibacterial (2 days absolutely no problem). The elastic waist band could be smaller (to limit weight), and I don't know about durability
