LagniprimatteYes they did. Now their guy is saying that was a mistake and that it's removable. This should be in the specs - seriously!
About a day ago the IKBC guy wrote, "It's detachable cable and Micro USB connector." among a few other, "It's detachable" type answers. So hopefully that's right. Really we should be getting pictures of the back and bottom.

AnnndySince it is a detachable cable, does this mean a different cable could be used, for example, on the new Macbook Pros that don't offer standard USB ports?

clmdvdI don't know what the latest Macbook Pro needs, but these keyboards are USB. Even though the cable is removable, the connector is for USB. My guess is that the best way to use this keyboard with a MacBook Pro would be to use an adapter that converts standard USB connectors to whatever the MacBook Pro offers (Lightning connector?).

AnnndyThey are USB-C ports on the newest MacBook Pro. I'd rather not deal with dongles/adapters and would prefer to buy a Micro-USB to USB-C cable that would work with this keyboard in the future if and when I'd need it. There shouldn't be anything proprietary about the cable, would there be?

LagniprimatteI think that should work just fine. I have two Micro-USB to USB-C cables for a Nexus phone and I have been able to connect that to standard USB ports on a laptop, PC and charger without any problem whatsoever. I think that would work fine with a keyboard like this too.

AnnndyIt depends on whether it can transfer data as well. Should be fine if you can move things between your phone and computer though.
