All of the pictures show the pen open. Does the pen twist closed, or is there a cap, or some other way to hide the ball point? I'd like to keep this in my pocket, but I don't want it poking through, nor do I want ink all over the inside of my pocket.

I ordered the tek clip keychain pocket clip and it came with these really good detachable keychain things. I've been using that with the pen and just unclipping it when I need it.

camdudeBut they are VERY small. Great for not bulking up your pocket. You couldn't twist it off and use it because that's how you open it up to replace the ink. idk if you see that blue rectangle on top of the photo but that's a usb flash drive if you want a sense of scale.

$21.5 USD to Europe, ... well, is it going to be delivered within five seconds or something? Seriusly, SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket will take the titanium version (8.5g) to the Low Earth Orbit for $11.05 USD.

It's disingenuous to have a "Titanium Micro Pen" that comes (by default) in stainless steel. Why not remove Titanium from the title?

Holy crap, this is getting ridiculous, MD!!! Most, if not all my posts are trying to get you to clarify MISLEADING information from YOU on many of the drops over the last year. HERE WE GO AGAIN!!! You have in the description (STILL) "Polished to a satin finish, the body features thin grooves at the grip section for a nice feel in the hand." Are there grooves on the pen or not? If there aren't, CHANGE THE DESCRIPTION!!!! All of this just makes me not want to support ANY drops.

srvctecAaaaannnd, just as expected, absolutely no comment from anyone at Massdrop after 3 days. I'll do like someone above is doing, just use MD for ideas, find the item somewhere else and purchase it there so I won't have to support a site with constantly inaccurate information on practically every single drop.

I got one last drop. Great emergency pen, kinda hard to write with, but its so small it hardly takes up any room on my keychain. But it works fine, as soon as I replaced the ink. The first ink cartridge did not work even a little bit. Pretty irritating, luckily I got an extra one.

camdudeSame here, included ink worked for about one sentence. I find this to impossible to use, it's just too skinny & short. Too bad because it hangs nicely on a keychain. I would absolutely recommend NOT buying this.

Come on Massdrop, get your frickin' act together. This whole mess of a description and photos that don't match that description are making me wonder if anybody at MD has a clue!!!
1. Does the refill retract into the body? (since your description FAILS to mention this)
2. Are there really grooves machined into the body as depicted on Illumn's website since YOUR photos don't show this? Quoted from YOUR description: "the body features thin grooves at the grip section for a nice feel in the hand"
It's getting completely ridiculous how many times we have to get you to clarify things because you can't seem to get it right in the description OR photos. Not sure why I even bother to continue receiving emails from you with so many issues on nearly every drop you have.

srvctecThe refill retracts into the body. The pictures on MD are accurate, the Valiant Concepts pens on our website are a different product.

IllumnCalvinSo the description is inaccurate. Glad I missed the drop!
What's the specific model of replacement ink from Fisher? I want to see how common they are where I live. Also, does the ink tip retract into the body of the pen; these things should have been mentioned in the description. I already have a couple micro pens, one has a cap and I don't like that, would prefer it to twist in like this one appears it may. Best backup pen option is still the tiny one that comes in the SwissArmy knife.

ConsumerAdvocateHad this same question myself, but kept seeing conflicting answers. From what I could gather, this particular refill was discontinued by Fisher long ago and Valiant Concepts bought up the remaining stock (is now only available for purchase directly from Illumn in the US or Taschenlampen-Papst in Germany). This refill appears to be compatible only with the Illumn Micro Pen and the Valiant Concepts Keychain Pen (think it was originally designed for use in the now discontinued Freeform Zip Pen). Pretty sure that standard Fisher Space Pen refills will not work in these pens.
Really wanted to buy one of these two Ti pens, but don't want to spend $25 to $60 on a pen that has a finite amount of refills available. Guess I'll just take a closer look at the slightly larger TEC Picopen Ti, that takes Zebra refills instead
AFD_0Fast forward about a year.... the regular pens (rare though) are better now a days to get through airport security and such. But I have heard that some defensive designed pens do still make it through security. Almost any pen that is of all steel construction is formidable. Correct. Shipping is fixed. No way of adjusting it in the order...and to add to the pain, the order page defaults to free shipping until it realises your country and then the bill almost doubles. Such a shame...Illumn looks like losing a heap of sales here. Only two days to go and no MD reply.
