All-Rounder With Custom Hybrid Ceramic Drivers

Since its release, the IMR R1 IEM has received a lot of praise for its top-notch sound and unique design. At its heart is the company’s custom hybrid driver unit, which combines a high-res ceramic driver and a 13-millimeter beryllium dynamic driver with powerful neodymium motors. The result: a huge soundstage, precise instrument placement, and a frequency range (14 to 40,000 Hz) that covers the entire audible range of audio. And thanks to the R1’s switchable open-and-close port, you can change the staging of the IEM to make it more sealed off or open to the outside world. Want even more customization? IMR has you covered. Your R1 will come with five tuning filters that’ll allow you to alter the bass, treble, and midrange to your preferences.

Note: This drop is limited to 100 units.

The Reviews Are In

In their five-star review on Head-Fi, AudioJunki3 says, “The sound is simply spectacular and I feel the combination of ceramic and beryllium has definitely paid off here, so hats off to Bob [of IMR, formerly of Trinity Audio] for doing such an amazing job with the engineering. The R1 is an all-round high performer that offers a very engaging sound and surprisingly performs very well on my midrange Chinese phone.”
