So... anyone know of any chances for an aluminum top plate? I have an old Ergo and an Infinity Ergo and I much prefer the aluminum top plate over acrylic. I know there's the issue of the LCD, but maybe it can be aluminum with a window :)
And... I cracked the top acrylic plate on the right hand so I need a replacement :(
One of the 1.5u keycaps was rubbing against the acrylic and I cracked the top plate by accident as I tried to give the key a little clearance.

silverthornneIf you have any kind of fabrication shop nearby, since they published the plates and their specifications on the GitHub, you could probably have somebody cut you just the top or all the layers pretty easily.
