If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? The exposed pcb...I've been travelling for the last two weeks in Japan with the keyboard in my backpack. Haven't had any issues. Along with just throwing it in my bag everyday for nearly a month prior.
I guess if you packed it between two heavy things (one small) with hard corners you could scratch off components or traces... Really, I guess it depends on how you pack your bag and treat your stuff.
