Not sure my Armstrong enough lift this watch (I’ve been ill since seeing the Heritor Aura).

By the way, it's worth pointing out that not all Ingersolls are, shall we say...unattractive? However, every Ingersoll one purchases on MD is positively a better deal than you're likely to find elsewhere. And here's proof of both points:

A few months back, MD sold this not-half-bad looking Ingersoll Reliance model for about the same as the...more exotic-looking Ingersoll Armstrong above. You can visit that old drop here: https://drop.com/buy/ingersoll-reliance And I'd bet you dollars to donuts someone, somewhere has paid north of two-hundred dollars for either one of these watches on another site. Moral of the story: while we may have differing opinions on what a watch should look like, we can all agree on what makes a deal, a deal. Which is to say, if you like that ugly behemoth above, you can buy it here with the confidence that you're getting it at a significantly better price than a lot of other folks have paid. As for the rest of us--we're just going to have to wait for this drop to end and hope that MD will score some more of those nice looking Reliance models soon!

You mean where Marty says: "You don't know when to quit, do ya Griswold? Here's an idea: Why don't you give me half the money you were gonna bet? Then, we'll go out back, I'll kick you in the nuts, and we'll call it a day!" There are exceptions to every rule!

RayFProblem here is they’ve only sold 19 of them and already the only option left is the ugliest model.

A lot of people will mistake those protrusions on the right side of the dial for Pushers. However, those of us who drive '57 Belairs with white wall tires know what they're really for...

RayFAre those...zip ties? And is that a chrome back scratcher on the wheel well? And why is there a single dice stuck in the rim? I’m more confused about the car than I am about who would buy the watch.

Watchyoutalkingabout Zip ties?! No, no--"wiskers" like on a cat--keeps you from scuffing up your white walls on the curb. That die is custom valve stem cap, and that other thing on the wheel well? That's a flag pole for homecoming parades ;- )

There’s a joke in here somewhere about needing a strong arm for this Armstrong Quartz at 46mm wide and 17mm thick, but I just can’t be arsed to make it. Instead I’ll point out that there is absolutely no reason for a Quartz movement to require such dimensions. Oh, and also stop buying cheap disposable watches. You’re welcome.

Watchyoutalkingabout Perhaps the large case size (relative to the quartz movement inside) is explained by the massive superstructure required to support those enormous pushers? Hmm? Bet you didn't think of that!
