Product Description
Inspired by vintage watches, but sized for the modern era, the Ingersoll Trenton looks like a piece of classic Americana—and it is. Made by Ingersoll, which was founded in New York in 1892, the watch has an old-school look and feel Read More

Uninteresting as this watch is, MDs price is low enough to have attracted at least one buyer who is an active online reseller (one who buys new and used items specifically to resell elsewhere). Find that difficult to believe? Check out the range of prices this watch (in various configurations) is currently selling for on other sites:

I certainly don't recommend the practice (nor do I have the time for it) but I am aware it's a fairly common way to supplement one's income (some folks do it full-time). Which is to say: if Amazon and Macy's can convince someone to pay $300-ish for the watch, don't you think it's possible to convince someone else to spend $150 for it? And there you go--you've just doubled your investment. Still don't believe me? https://poshmark.com/listing/Meet-your-Posher-Jessica-5bf708a1dfb740dca706cc6f

I made that very clear in my comments and by posting little pictures of both types (automatics and quartz) so that even a slow-witted fellow like yourself (who's evidently blocked one to many slap shots), could follow along with all the rest of the boy and girls. Consider switching your sporting interests to Curling, but do keep your helmet handy.

I officially declare, with none of the power invested in me by castle grayskull, that Ingersoll is officially Drop’s new sidepiece.

Mock up of watch to scale. Helps to decide how style and size will work ... I have 7" wrist.

Nice vintage design. And even from the point of view of a Canadian buyer (with our weak currency), 75$ is a good price (around 100$ CAN). But why do Ingersoll make their watches so BIG!?! At 44mm, this is too large for me. I understand watches nowadays are larger, but if a maker is going for that vintage vibe, I don't understand the choice for such a size. I'll pass.

Would be great at 40 to 41. Still if you can manage the size ... It's a good deal compared with pretty much everything and anything at that price point. The Seiko quartz movement is solid and reliable.

One review said "Band is stiffer than I can put words to." It may sound like hyperbole to say the band is actually stiffer than that description, but if the band fits (assuming you can get it on) ... In all seriousness, it's about as flexible as a piece of plywood. It won't be wearable until I beat it, and beat it, and beat it some more. If you've ever tenderized a tough piece of steak, that would be a warm-up to softening this thing up. Ridiculous.
