This is an absolute disgrace. Ordered this on the 12th June and waiting patiently for the original shipping date of the 11th Oct. Got an email on the 9th Oct saying there's a delay... then nothing. Not a word in regards to an update from MD. After reaching out to other purchasers on here as well as Justin @TheShoeSnob himself, I was able to find out that the shoes had already been sent to MD for distribution. Emailing MD inquiring about my order only to be told they couldn't provide any information apart from the original delay email sent. After another month and a half of no updates, I sent another email asking about my order. This time I was told it was on Back Order which is a bit baffling considering that Justin had already sent the orders out to MD... Then came the kicker, an email this morning saying that they now can't guarantee more stock and they've cancelled my (5 month) order and will be given a refund (Plus $20 credit on my next order... wow, small consolation MD) . NOT GOOD ENOUGH MASSDROP! @Jtchinoy, did you get the same treatment from MD with your order?
Justin, I hope you pull all your products from MD from here on. They have absolutely screwed the pooch on this with many who have joined this drop over 5 months ago and on top of it tarnished your brand reputation. I had been so looking forward to these. I had specifically ordered these to be worn on an Opening Night I knew was coming early next year. (Silly me for thinking that I had plenty of time to spare ordering them in June'18!)
MD... You've done some questionable customer service errors in the past which I forgave but this takes the cake. I'll end this like I started. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.
I am really sorry to hear all of this. I wish that I could do something but there is nothing that I can do. It's the nature of their company. I will bear this in mind before future business. I asked myself what was going on and also did not get any answers to be honest. The problem when a company grows too big and has too many departments and not enough communication. Apologies gents. Truly
TheShoeSnobYeah communication is atrocious with MD. It’s a real pity... was so looking forward to these. Like I mentioned, they were reserved for a big Opening Night early next year! I don’t really like a lot of brouging on my shoes but these had the perfect amount for my tastes. Walnut leather would’ve been beautiful too! Oh well... but thanks for replying Justin. I’ll have a pair of your shoes on my feet one day!
JtchinoyI haven't reached out again, so I haven't heard anything new. I was hoping Justin might get a better answer than we've been getting. Let me know if you hear anything!
K-ManI had to email Justin. He said the shoes were shipped to massdrop but went to their main office. Not sure why it’s been a 20 day delay. Apparently they misplaced one of the pairs.
I'd appreciate a size recommendation. The Loake Capital last in UK 9.5 fits me very well, and the Loake 024 last (also UK 9.5) is also a good fit (although a tad roomier).
Cheers!
Hi, I got your magnolia captoe last time in a UK 7.5. they fit well immediately, but that makes me wonder if they'll become loose later on. There's a little breathing room, but it's not to the point my feet slide inside the shoe. I could see myself needing insoles to make it more snug again further down the road.
If that's the case, should I get these in a 7? Or a 7.5 again?
JtchinoyI would say 7E would work. The MGF last is known for being particularly long in the toe and wide fitting. I wore the TMG last (which the magnolia is on) in 8E and I definitely should have sized down and 7E on MGF fit perfectly.
Hi Justin. Quick sizing question based on length 258, girth 230. I am inclined to go for UK 6E here. Could you confirm, please?
Good fits: 7.5E in Allen Edmonds 65
6.5 in Carlos Santos 160
6F in Loake Capital
40 EU in Velasca
Hi Justin, I am interested in this drop and also joined your last drop with the Tony II.
I only just opened my shoes earlier and realized there was a big crease on the leather on the inner side of the left shoe. There is a very small one on the right shoe but not as noticeable. Is this normal? Sorry i’m not very knowledgable in higher end

shoes so was not sure what is normal or not with the leather.
Attached is a photo, hope you can help me out! Thanks!
JoshuaLthis crease is simply where the heel counter ends. The heel counter is the rigid piece of material that keeps the heel's shape. After that it is simply the upper leather and lining which is far more pliable and will bend naturally with your foot in there. This crease is inevitable in a wholecut oxford as there are no seams to hide it. It would less noticeable in nearly any other model but does not mean anything is wrong. Leather always creases. Read the following. I hope that you enjoy the shoes: http://www.theshoesnobblog.com/2017/07/mythbuster-part-1-leather-creasing-means-something-is-wrong.html
TheShoeSnobThank you for your detailed reply and link! I just wasn’t sure about the crease on the leather as the shoes were unworn so I thought i’ll ask you!
I also joined this drop so can’t wait until I get some shoe trees from your site so I can start enjoying the shoes! Thanks again!
