nappingtonYours aren't defective - I too have the same problem. It looks like in the places where it cuts out like crazy, there is strong interference with the signal being pushed from your mobile phone(?) to the BlueBuds X that is causing the skipping. I stay in Singapore, and my music playback will cut / skip like crazy in certain areas, which is rectified the minute I pull out my mobile from my pant pockets and bring them closer to the BBX.
