Only 140F? Seems like this thing will melt or catch fire before I ever get a chance to use it.

Is anyone else having a problem getting it fully charged? I left it plugged in for 2 days, but it never reaches full capacity as far as the indicator lights go. I thought maybe it was supposed to do that, for whatever reason. But when I unplug it, the last light goes out. I only bought this for using on my atv, so I have no doubt it will work just fine. My 2012 Yamaha Grizzly doesn't have a pull start.
rudedogg4Thank you for reaching out. Although it should work just fine with your Grizzly, the unit should show when it is 100% charged. Please reach out to us at 855-843-4828 or email support@limitlessinnovations.com so we can issue a replacement and investigate the problem with your current unit.

I purchased them through a promotion on the Good Morning America show where they offer super good deals but in this case not so much.

I have an old Boltpower battery bank/jump starter/air compressor/flashlight thing. I did get use out of the jump starter a few times, however the first time you accidentally hook your cables up backwards or ground your positive (happened to me), say goodbye to your jump starter cable. I still use it as an air compressor as I'm too lazy to fix the slow leak in my lawnmower tires. Slow but gets the job done.
NiteNinjaThe Boltpower is a great idea, combining a jump starter with an air compressor and flashlight. However, it's a shame your cables stopped working after an incorrect connection was made. The JumpSmart goes through 10 safety checks, one of which is a polarity sensor to make sure it is hooked up properly, before applying any power to the clips. If it is hooked up incorrectly, there are no sparks or smell of burning electrical material. Just a red light and an alarm that sounds, letting you know to try again!

LimitlessInnovationsAnd the connector for 12 volt on this unit is the same as the connector on my BoltPower one (they pretty much keep them standard thankfully) so I can keep my air compressor attachment and still gain all the other benefits of this unit.

The biggest problem with these units in general is that you have to remember to keep them charged. This is the first one I've seen that comes with a car charger. Can we just plug this in to a 12 car outlet and leave it there so it will be charged when we need it? It seems to me that for this to work, the unit would have to 1) charge readily from a running car, 2) switch to a trickle charge when full, and 3) not allow its charge to flow in the other direction - this needs to stay fully charged no matter what is happening elsewhere in the car's electrical system.
GillilandI agree. It's just like a spare tire. What good is it going to do if you don't check it regularly. Good news is, that JumpSmart really does hold its charge. Even though it is recommended to check it and recharge every three months, I can tell you that is overkill. I threw a fully charged JumpSmart in my car in October, forgot about it during our cold Chicago winter, and didnt need to use it until April. You would think with the -20 weather we had here, that the JumpSmart's battery would have drained a substantial amount. However, when i turned it on after that long winter, the JumpSmart still showed 100% battery life and turned over my 5.0 with ease like it was a weed wacker engine. As for the car charger, you can certainly leave it plugged into the JumpSmart, as long as your car does not keep the outlet on at all times, even when the engine is off. If the outlet turns on only when the key is in the on position, then it is okay to leave the JumpSmart plugged in.

This looks like it has potential, but what if I need to jump my car in the dark? It doesn't look like the flashlight would be the most useful when attaching the jumper, or maybe I'm overthinking it...
Ar7yYou are not overthinking at all, as this is has been asked before. We recommend that in a dark situation, use the flashlight to shine on the battery and hook the leads up to the positive and negative terminals. Once a proper connection has been made, plug the cables into the back of the jumpsmart, and you should be ready to jump start your vehicle!

Ordered mine a few months ago and it never arrived. The last details on the tracking was "Held by Customs Inspection" and that was in Germany. Although I was refunded, let this be a note to international buyers. That it can be held by customs because of what I believe is the Battery restrictions.

First jumpstarter I've seen that lists capacity in mWh. At 37000mWh and 12V it seems this only has just over 3000 mAh? For comparison other jumpstarters and external chargers are easily in the tens of thousands of mAh. While I'm interested in the novelty of having the flashlight shape and function, I think I'll stick with my Suaoki 20000 mAh starter for $10 less and a separate, more portable, higher lumen, flashlight.

vynce"more portable, higher lumen, flashlight." *HIGHER* lumen? FFS mate, you planning on bolting it to the bottom of aircraft as a landing light? Setting up a improvised baseball stadium in a corn field? Trying to see the dark side of the moon? 330 lumens is *usefully* bright. Much more than that and it's just a DSW.

vyncemWh is quite weird but when you look at Wh (x1000), that is the way batteries are supposed to be measured, since very few manufacturers lost battery voltage (Which is also what you need to get from mWh to mAh), but Wh is a unit of energy, while mAh is a unit of charge, while you might think charge is more useful, it tells you nothing without looking at the voltage...
