8 Inches of 17-Layer Damascus

Traditionally used to prepare sashimi and nigiri, the Yanagi ba is a traditional Japanese blade that’s been used for centuries. This one from Kanetsune features a lengthy, thin blade for cutting large pieces of fish or meat in one fell swoop, resulting in a smooth and presentable surface. Made from 17-layer VG-10 damascus steel, the blade measures over 8 inches long and is sharpened on one side. To pair with it is a red sandalwood handle with an ebony bolster. The handle is rounded for a comfy hold. Displayed in a nice box, the knife will make a great gift for dad or a relative, too.
