Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Also I've read from kantoliving that these speakers don't automatically turn on from standby mode. So I have to press a button every time I listen to something, take a break for 10 minutes, and want to listen to something again? That seems......... extremely annoying. Did kanto make any changes to the standby system on the YU4's and YU6's?
So it came in and unfortunately I'm still getting audible hiss when sitting at my desk with each speaker at the end of a 6 foot wide table. However I believe it must be something with my house/neighborhood since I tried some jbl LSR305 and they have hissing too. I also have a cyberpower UPS and have tried live and battery power. Both speakers hiss no matter if they're connected to an audio source or not. Going to try ferrite cores and plugging them in in another neighborhood
