Product Description
With a clean design and simple construction, Keith’s titanium double-walled mugs are a staple for any backpacking or camping trip. Titanium mugs are a lighter and stronger alternative to steel mugs, making them ideal for minimal backpacking and durable enough for everyday use Read More
Just received mine and I'm sorry to say, it was a waste of money. The mug imparts a metal taste into whatever I put in it. It has almost NO insulation properties. The top leaks with gentle movement (getting in the car), it doesn't fit in a cup holder and the only thing kind I can say is that it is light weight. Sorry I bought it!
shmacThis item meant for backpacking.
The top is not meant to prevent spilling, only to keep heat in a little longer, please read the product description. Cups that fit into cup holders are generally taller than they are wide -- a NEGATIVE for backpacking. Of course you are sorry you bought it, you bought an item for a VERY specific purpose and used it for something else.
I received a Yeti mug as a gift that I think would suit your purpose much better. It keeps liquid hot/warm for hours, and the lid prevents most spilling. It is taller than wider and fits in cup holders. Hope that helps!
Just to make sure, if someone here is getting one of these thinking it can be used for cooking - don't.

(I tried to find some other non-video more scientific/informative source but google failed to deliver)
ArielBiMBaI thought about drilling a tiny hole through the outer wall to be sure it wouldn't explode and trying to bake in it. (foil lid?)
I could imagine it cracking around the rim fairly quickly but it might still be usable?
pshumarI finally got mine. The 300 ml mug, unfortunately, does not nest in the 450 ml mug. The lid is also pretty loose on the small mug while the bigger one is nice and tight.
I bought the 4 nesting mug set they sold a bit ago, I don't find that they impart any taste. I otherwise use glass to drink out of, so I'm at least a little fussy ;-) The double wall is mostly just going to let you pick them up without burning your hands. Heat is mostly lost out the top.
UltrasoundTo me, the pull of titanium is the durability for someone on a long hike, and its a true ultralight product in that sense if you desire the luxury of something to keep your coffee/oatmeal/soup warm for more a minute on a 20 degree a.m.
UltrasoundI like that I can drink coffee out of mine without burning my hands or my lips on the cup. With double wall stainless that I had, the lip of the cup would heat up too much and burn you.
