My lenses drop out as well, received a review request via email and passed on my concerns. Light weight good, the lenses pop out so easily that I can't use them. Disappointed.
got an email with tracking yesterday
Drop has been complete for over two weeks and today is the expected ship date...any updates? I don't recall hearing one word from Massdrop after the drop ended, which is unusual.
its_clean
Well, mystery is solved: delivery is officially delayed, for no apparent or logical reason. Which we were told the day AFTER the expected ship date. With no prior communication of any kind. And no updated ETA.
Hey Massdrop, that sucks. Do better.
Lenses popped out of the frame from the day one. Doesn't seem like they're cut correctly to fit the frame as I've tried tightening with no success.

Thank you for taking care of this. Much appreciated. Top notch customer service.
Got my replacement glasses a couple weeks ago, KentWang did a good job of taking care of me. Thank you very much.
One lens came off after 2 months of use, the product quality is sub-par and way overpriced. Do not fall into this trap.

I wish I had known This, my lense popped out while I was walking and the person behind me stepped on it destroying the lense. I ended up throwing the pair away as I was so disappointed and did not want to walk around looking like a pirate. i will say they fit great and I’m Asian so I have a hard time finding lenses that fit me. ☹️😭

Sorry to hear about this! This may have been a defective pair. Send us an email at sales@kentwang.com and we'll get you a replacement. We stand behind all our products.
how do these compare to the Randolphs?
Hello, My brother is in Viet Nam. He wants to buy this product. Do you ship to Viet Nam ? If yes, please give me a shipping fee. Thanks.
I absolutely hated mine. There is no curve in the lenses so they look absolutely flat on your face. Plastic lenses. Waste of money.
chefboyarlee
The lenses are slightly curved but not as exaggeratedly curved as other brands', which @smallbit explains as, "My problem typically with aviator type frames is that they are huuuuge and make me seem bug-eyed but these seem to fit perfect."
We use CR-39 lenses because they have the best balance of good optics, light weight, and resistance to shattering and scratching.
In any case, if you're not pleased with your purchase, we're happy to exchange. (Massdrop won't allow refunds). Please send us an email at sales@kentwang.com. I think you'll like the heavier weight and greater curve of the keyhole design. https://www.kentwang.com/misc/sunglasses
Do they fit well on fat heads? I have a large head, size 8 hat. I was wondering if they would look too small on my face.
bsatow
Short answer is yes they will, not fit on your face that is.
I need prescription lenses. Would it make sense to get a pair of these and replace the stock lenses? or am I being super silly.

I had the exact same question. Prescription is partly the reason I dont want to invest in high-end designer frames. The lenses are useless to me esp. polarized ones.
i am not impressed, for the price they are suppose to be, these are not what it should be. they look great, they material is good, but the frame came to me slightly warped or the Right lens frame seating is off and the lens can never fined perfect seating. worse of all, some how they just feel cheap, this is really disappointing, i would return, i can get better glasses at this price i feel, even with out the imperfection(quality control) they just feel... less

do you have a link for me to see?
These impressed me. I bought the other kent wang pair as well that were from the solid cut turtleshell acrylic but these I think are much better. Good glass, solid weld points on the frame, comfortable and even lightweight while maintaining a quality feel. I dig em and they look classy as hell. My problem typically with aviator type frames is that they are huuuuge and make me seem bug-eyed but these seem to fit perfect. The only thing is that I wish these had come with a hardcase of some sort. Woot!
they do not match the pictures. They are more grey than silver with no shine at all also glass tint is dark green rather than just grey/black. They do look a bit cheap as well. The grey coating makes them look a bit like a toy.
Got these today- not good glasses. Cheapo feel, I'll wear them when I mow.

If you're not pleased with the quality of our goods, we're happy to arrange a return for you. Or perhaps an exchange? I think you'll like the heavier weight of the keyhole design. Please send us an email at sales@kentwang.com

Thank you for reaching out to me. I just sent you an email.
I'd wear these if I was blind.
I mean, clearly gun metal would sell more if more were offered.... Like, every time I see this and look for gun metal and its sold out, so I simply don't buy any.
could you replace the lenses on these with prescription lenses?
Boeing77W
I asked my optometrist about this and she says because the wire frame is quite thin, it wouldn't work or look good, unless you had a very low prescription.
KentWang
Looks to be about the same as most of my actual glasses in terms of thickness. I've got a fairly hefty prescription in one eye, but all that means is I pay the extra for the thinner lenses, it's usually anywhere from $40-80 extra for the ultra thin and not all opticians supply them.
Gunmetal sold out already? :/
A shame they're polarized... actual pilots can't wear polarized lenses in the cockpit if they want to see their instruments.

I came here to say that these look like they're biting the AO style pretty hard. I got some AO's from Massdrop a few years ago and they're the best sunglasses around. 1.) They have history and lineage; straight up astronauts wore these badboys. 2.) They're made in 'Merica by 'Merican's using predominantly-'Merican sourced 'Materials. 3.) They're not that common. I was out in a national park and a guy came up to me specifically to compliment my sunglasses because he was wearing the same ones. That was the first time I've ever run into anyone wearing AO. 4.) The quality is superb. The lenses are legit glass and the clarity and color reproduction are immaculate. I have the grey glass polarized and they're amazing.
Glass lenses mean that they're a bit heavier and I would definitely not wear them for high-speed or impact sports, but man... Best glasses ever.
Where are these made?
More Gunmetal plz?
24 purchased and gunmetal already out? that was fast.
Guys with medium heads is the 54 a good fit? I have randolphs just like these but 55 is just slightly too large and their 52 is too small. Maybe 54 is the sweet spot
Great shades....too bad my friend smashed his big foot on them by the pool yesterday. Please bring them back.
How does one get the blue temples?
I have a pretty large round head, anyone know how these guys fit for big heads like myself?
Skippysqueaz
Just got mine the other day. They fit pretty tight and I have an average head.
Anyone know of a site where one could try these on virtually? Like the look of them but want to be sure how they look on me before taking a plunge.
Gupts
I've used the Ray-Ban "Virtual" try on and all I can say is that this tool while "cool," should only be used to view the "style" on you. I used this tool to try on the largest "Tear-Drop Aviator" they had and it sure as heck looked like a perfect fit via the virtual tool, but once in hand woefully small, not even close. So my suggestion is use those "virtual" apps for style only and leave dimensions out of the equation.
How do these compare with similar models from Ray Ban or Oakley, quality wise?
Bjorn
Oh, come on, still no one...
Bjorn
I've had mine for a year...I've beaten the shit out of em and my only complaint is after so many drops the left lens can pop out if you rub it wrong while cleaning. Everything else held up just dandy. I will say I wish the lenses were darker cause in bright light you can see through them to the eyes.
These shades wear well with everything. Can't wait to get my hands on those gunmetal frames!
These ever coming back? Loved mine but dropped them in the ocean unfortunately.
DanyHeatley
They're back now! :)
