I first picked up the knockout it a Sprint run m390 and thought it was just fantastic ,just one little nitpick, it had an internal rattle to it, other than that it was solid! Then I went in on the drop for the Damascus version and woot, no "rattle" and nothing to complain about. Out of a very large knife collection, the knockout definitely punches other knives in the face for a TKO.
RandomsmackI believe the Knockout is spring assisted, like a lot of other Kershaw/ZT knives. Generally the rattle on an assisted knife is heard when there is no grease in the little cutout area where the assist spring is located internally. If you disassemble the knife and check that cutout (usually has a little "door" over it to trap the grease), you'll probably find it dry. Add a little grease and the rattle will be gone. If you're not sure watch a Nick Shabazz Kershaw Speed Safe disassembly on YouTube.
Lightweight, sharp and an effortless deploy. The size is probably borderline too big for an EDC to some people, but the weight of it compensates for its size I guess?? The American flag stamp is cool too!
I really like this knife. It feels solid in my hand and there is no movement with the blade extended. My first Damascus blade and it is nice to look at. The pocket clip is really sturdy too.
This knife is solid and generally good quality that I’ve come to expect from Kershaw. The fit and feel are fantastic. The clip is way too tight, but I’m hoping that will open over time. I’m knocking off two stars because of the tarnish looking spot on the blade (pictured). It detracts from what is otherwise a beautiful and functional knife.
I love the company and quality and i love the knife.......but for real the action is loud and slow. Really loud really slow. Its a beautiful well crafted knife. *Update thanks for help from the community. I really alpreciate it
