The flashlight is a piece of junk, the dog tags actually made me laugh, and that knife wouldn't even make a good beater because you would have to sharpen it so often. The mutitool has a blade on it which looks prone to catching, especially if you have it connected to the keychain hole at the opposite end, but maybe I'm wrong about that.

LOL. Aawww. Did I hurt four little feewings by calling out your bs in the pen discussion, so now you gonna find comments of mine to try and crap on? I say ”try”, because it was even weaker than your pen valuation. 😂 Pathetic. Truly pathetic.
My post was a piece of info for those who might have been consider buying the set, A YEAR AGO. Thats what these discussions are for you know, to help the community whith info they might not know. You have fun with your ankle biting though. It’s quite amusing. I won’t waste any more of my time by responding to your crap again, but do continue. I can always read more later, for a good chuckle.

Thanks to the person who posted the Amazon link. Just saved some money and don't have to wait for it. And I'll be watching these drops a bit closer in the future. That's just RIDICULOUS!

Looking at the MSRP listed and thinking Kershaw was a good brand, I actually thought wow this might actually be a good drop....Always check the comments kids.

KingNoneIn defense of MassDrop, the current drop price is now $5 less than the current price on Amazon. The knife is nice enough, the tool has been useful and the flashlight is...a nice addition. Everyone who has seen the knife has commented on it. It opens very easily and the weight is nice. I have no complaints about any of the Kershaw knives I own and I have several. Well worth the current drop price.

Don't buy this. If you know ANYTHING about knife steel, you will know that this knife is crazy cheap. It will get dull very fast. It might look good but save up and buy a $30 ontario RAT 1 or 2 or a spyderco tenacious. Or go and buy a CRKT drifter. Don't buy anything less than 8CR13MoV or AUS 8.

neverworrieBeen using a CRKT drifter for a little over a year now as my daily. Edge holds up well through weekly cardboard breakdowns and thousands of opened packages. Fairly easy to sharpen steel, and quite hefty for such a flat profile. Seriously underrated knife.

I've seen this combo pack for a while now. A 3Cr blade is whatever, I'm sure no one needs me to point out that that's kinda low grade steel, even for a cheap knife. The flashlight, I'm sure works. Judging by what people say about it, it works about as well as a birthday candle, but light is light. The can opener thing is going to be hit or miss with people based on how it fits their hand. I have it, or something just like it also from Kershaw, and I've never had a use for mine. The dog tag? Dog tags are for people who wrote that check out to the nation, payable on the bank of their life. They're also ok for you to wear if you're, like, 12. Things that just look like dog tags are squarely in 'three wolves shirt' territory in that they don't advertise what the people buying them hope to advertise -- rather the opposite. It's a little worse than that, actually, if you ask me. It's maybe just my opinion, but if you didn't actually serve, wearing a dog tag as a grown ass adult means you're insecure about your masculinity. Especially one that's thrown in as an extra on the cheapest EDC set ever made. More to the point, there's a lot of people in the world who will take it as somewhat of an insult. These people are generally folks that served in the military and may not be people you wish to insult. I mean, there's a place for the useful stuff in civilian life. Militaria is cool if it's being repurposed usefully, like someone who's taken a Fat 50 ammo can and turned it into a portable minibar, or someone that's just wearing surplus boots and a jacket because they're warm and rugged. I wouldn't buy this set, but I won't judge you if you do. Unless you wear that dog tag in which case I'm going to be pointing and laughing. Just my two cents, but don't say no one warned you.

Eh, I have been a student of humans and canines both for some time, and I am reasonably certain that while your interpretation is common (being called a dog = insult in common culture), after watching the both of us go about our business, as far as I'm concerned, being compared to a dog turns out to be a compliment to far too many humans than any of us should be comfortable to reckon. And that's even accounting for the fact that, like, dogs spend a lot of time trying to lick their own butthole and whatnot.

reswrightI'm a dog lover. All my daughters have dogs. My ex has one. My current living situation precludes my ownership or I would have one.
Owning this set entitles the purchaser to hang out in 7/11 parking lots and sell pills.

I own this. The light is junk, the dog tag is pointless, the hook cutter might be useful, but I haven't figured a use yet. The knife is decent for rough work, looks good, and springs open with purpose. I carry it often. You're paying for the knife. Keep that in mind.

kauboyThe multi-tool is likely the best bit of this bunch. I would buy it separately if possible to attach it to the gas line rather than looking for a wrench or pliers to shut the gas off. Not that I need to do that very often.

This is one of those things you would find on a sad Target clearance end-cap after Christmas, because it didn't sell on the shelf of cheap-ass last-minute "dad gifts" they always roll out in the middle of the men's clothing section.

I'm sorry, but that flashlight should not carry the kershaw name... I'd actually be in if the flashlight was even half decent but that's the same chinese flashlight that companies give out for promo items at conventions.
