Product Description
Designed by RJ Martin, the Kershaw Scrambler features a 3.5-inch drop-point blade made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, which is easy to sharpen and corrosion-resistant. Kershaw’s signature SpeedSafe opening system delivers smooth spring-assisted blade deployment, which locks the blade in place via frame lock Read More
Just a note; the description you have listed for this knife describes the opening system as "spring-assisted blade deployment". This knife employs Kershaw's Speedsafe deployment, which uses a torsion bar, not a spring. Incorrectly saying this knife uses spring deployment could dissuade some from buying it as spring assisted knifes are illegal in many countries, however torsion bars are fine (such as in Canada).
Someone must have some stock of these left over. As far as I know they aren't made anymore.
I've used mine every day over the last couple years for non-intensive tasks like opening packages and boxes. The only thing wrong with it is that the torsion bar broke about 3-4 months ago. Since it isn't made anymore, Kershaw won't send out replacement speedsafe torsion bars or offer to repair/replace the knife. It's still perfectly functional without the assisted opening though and a sharp flick of the wrist will still flip the blade out. It's just a convenience thing.
Pretty great for a 25 dollar knife i'd say.
Day after Christmas and still no delivery. DHL has not been helpful--last tracking update was the 17th and they said they would not have an update until the 24th, to which they were closed anyways.
Massdrop--can you stop using DHL? Really, it's the worst.

Its not nearly as good looking as the pictures under Description make it look. But its still a solid knife.
First impression is the weight, it feels heavy, and I like it.
I just got mine an hour ago so here my thoughts.
Only owning a CRKT m16-01KZ Non Tanto I have been use to lightweight knives so when I got this in and opened it up I was shocked at how heavy it is, So here are my Cons: Not worth 60 bucks MSRP, Weight, No tip down, No thumbstuds, No gimping, Would be nice for an all black version, For an MSRP of 60 bucks your steel could be better. Pros: Sturdy, Easy to open, Has G10 if you like G10, Large knife for the bigger size person
