The Kizer Kezmec is ready for tough tasks of all kinds. Measuring 8 inches long, it’s armed with a thick 3.5-inch blade made from CPM-S35VN stainless steel, one of the most balanced steels on the commercial market. The handle is made from the best too: titanium scales meet to form a sturdy frame lock to keep the blade from accidentally closing. The top portion of the handle is noticeably slimmer, which creates a natural feel between the index finger and the thumb. What’s more, a flamed pattern on the handle scales draws the eye and gives the folder a bit of flair. Carry it on the right or left side in a tip-up orientation.

Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (arguably the most famous knifemaker in the world), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process of powdered metallurgy known as CPM, which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
