I'm sorry... I'm pull my pockets out broke like the rest of ya'll knife enthusiasts on here lately...
But I've just got to pull out the old moth ridden wallet out on this one!
Just too good to pass up at the price! 🤑
Can MD or someone else comment if this knife has bearings or washers?
Just watched Kevin Cleary video and he was under the impression that the other variant has bearings and this one has washers.
That would seem a bit odd but any confirmation would be appreciated.
storrycityYea i saw the limit of 60 but it held at 47 for a bit before i actually read the description page and when I did that bam 13 of em got ordered lickity split lol
Maybe I spoke too soon... I don't like extra clip holes in my knife!
Too late for me (unless I cancel the order).
Why did you guys specifically say right hand tip up when it's obviously adaptable to those tip down freak's?
Don't like that...
Also be aware this piece is a challenge to sharpen. I do my own and own several recurves, so not a problem for me. But you may have to learn a new skill.
I do like the steel lockbar insert though...
Oh what the heck. Send me another knife that I really don't need, but is sooo attractive that I can't turn it down. Damn you guys anyway...😠
The reason this particular piece went so quickly is simply why I bought it. Manufacturer, materials, and price.
Kizer, WE, & Reate make some of the best knives in the world. Get used to it. You're ignorent if you still use geography to influence your knife buying decisions.
The materials here are top notch as S35VN & titanium are almost standards today...but NOT in this price range. The steel lockbar insert is also an excellent touch.
What this knife does lack is a credible designer. I can pick out several flaws even before I have it in hand.
This knife will be a bear to sharpen on your own. Your $300.00 KME sharpening system will have a tough time with this crazy blade.
Also note there's no jimping on the upward facing flipper tab.
This guy "Ning" is unknown to me other than... well...I don't know him. And his blade design is just...crazy! Even in their description on Mass Drop, they discribe "pulling"... Boy scouts 101 anyone?
I bought this knife simply for the anomaly that it is... CRAZY!
I do like the new scale design however (that "basket weave" pattern at the end is awesome), and I appreciate how the pocket clip screws provide a secure point of purchase for removing it from your trousers.
All in all we"stole" this piece at $80.00 shipped, so congadulate yourselves...👏
Just got it today, wow it’s good. Centered, and it super smooth flipping. The weight of the blade makes it drop closed no problem. This was a lucky snag for sure at the price.
Dhill21As nice as it is, my coworker really wanted a new knife, I let her browse my collection and let her buy it off me haha. I have too many knives anyway, 😉
Dhill21Nice, mine should be arriving in 2 days. Ive been eying this Koenig arius for a while, they look great and are extremely functional with an excellent warranty and customer service, might have to save up for one.
storrycityIf you ever get a chance, you should definitely handle one first (Arius). It is definitely larger and heavier than I imagined (Mine is about 6oz). Smoothest action I’ve ever handled. My one minor complaint is that the flipper tab really digs into the pad of your finger if you don’t do the “light switch“ style of flipping.
Can't believe I never even saw this while it was active. That's one crazy blade, love it.
P.S.
I HATE that the opening shot is a mirrored image of the back side of the knife.
You know damn well that one of the common complaints in this community is the lack of lefty clip options, and you pull that lazy crap, inadvertently making it look like a right only carry knife has a lefty option on the main preview image? I'm not even a lefty and this one bothers me.
Poor form MD.
Dhill21I didn't either, till I came back to get some more info for comparison shopping later
Have seen them do this on a few things now
There was no need. If you're gonnna use a pic of the back of the blade for the cover shot, fine, whatever, just leave it pointing to the right
