Really enjoyed this knife and the anodization was absolutely beautiful. Ultimately, it was a little too big for my taste and I ended up getting rid of it. Quality was great for the price, so I don't have any complaints. I was able to deploy with both the thumb stud and the flipper tab without issues.
OmniseedDetent on mine was fine. It opened consistently and well. I can't remember about the lock bar insert. I ended up selling it on Reddit. Sorry I can't help you much more.
This was my first Kizer knife and i am more than impressed. It's bloody tough, I work as a maintenance fitter so my knives cop all types of abuse and it's held up well so far after 6 months of solid use. May look at a Kizer with M390 next.
Construction is first rate. Wish the opening was easier. Need to hold the knife with my left hand to open it with the flipper. Same issues as "2cut" seems to have. Reassembling the knife doesn't help as the ball detent on the lock fits too snugly in the detent hole. Wonder if I can change the detent hole shape to make the flipper work better.
First massdrop. First Kizer. Excellent value. Nice knife.
Just received the Guru last week.
Anxiously awaiting the Ferrum Forge Buccaneer end of August.
I have 6 Kizer knives & this is the worst of the lot. It is horrible to open either because of the design or more likely due to the detent. Neither the flipper or thumbstud works using one hand alone. I have had some success using the flipper with my middle finger but I advise skipping this model.
Ferrum Forge/WE knives have spoiled me. This Keizer is ok, but I wasn’t impressed with the flipper action nor the factory sharpness. It seems like a good knife but after getting the Gent, the Crux and the Falcon, a knife will need to do more to impress me as the FF/WE combination is top notch.
ItsDartsThat is surprising to me. I have over a dozen Kizer and with the exception of one (budget line Kala), they have been great. My Ferrum Forge knives have been 50% great and 50% OK. It is funny but the more expensive FF knives have been the so-so ones. And I think only a bit of that is me loving a bargain.
MyMilkyNipplesRighteous, it's always great when an unconfirmed but pleasant rumour turns out to be true!
Also I prefer tighter for the most part, harder detents, stiff lockbar over easy unlocking, I'm kind of a late coming cretin to the world of framelocks.
