CitovskyI'm unfamiliar with Knife Outlet, but they also say the blade is M390, not S35VN. Do they have a special edition of this knife, or is someone over there just sloppy?
BladeHQ wants $210 for this knife and I've had good experiences ordering from them. So, MD has the better deal this time around.

neil.ri think knifeoutlet is wrong about m390. kisser does make a special edition of shoal in m390 but this is not it. i know that bladehq has it for 210. knife outlet though always has the best deals on kizers and we knife; i always buy models that aim interested in by Kizer and WE from them and have never had a problem. also if one signs up for private sales the prices often can be even better. so MD in this case is NOT a good deal at all. btw i have nothing to do with knifeoutlet besides being their occasional customer.

CitovskyI think KO is wrong about the steel, and I wonder if your note about price was made before this drop reached the lowest price, which is $10 better? Totally fair if you don't think the savings is worth the wait, just wanted to clarify that it is lower here now.

neil.rThere are 2 versions of this knife (not counting the 2 colors), one with S35VN and the newer one with M390. Typical price for the first is $210, M390 will usually set you back at least an extra $60-70. Kizer has released a bunch of limited editions with M390, not sure if this is one of them or just an update. Excellent knife, good steel, bearings, great ergos - only downside could be the recurve Kizer is so fond of.
If K.O. really is selling the M390 at that price, it's a *screaming deal*. You'd need to decide if you want to pay the extra small amount plus shipping for a superior steel. I've never dealt with K.O. but have certainly heard about them.

neil.rIf remember the models correctly, there is a smaller version (3469, 3" blade?), that was released in M390. It retails for about $30+ more than the larger version in S35VN, (4469, 3.5" blade). It also looks like dealers have a MAP price set at $210 for the 4469 ( this drop), and $253 for the 3469 in M390. So I see this as a pretty good deal if you like the looks of this knife. In my experience Kizer's fit and finish is stellar. And their ceramic bearing action is smooth and smokin' fast.
Im going to guess that knifeouet has incorrect info, unless they've done an exclusive. But they are not advertising it that way. And their pics are such low quality, that it's impossible to read the blade etching. Looks like they just snacked thumbnail images off someone else's site.
