Knife came in the mail like it was already broken in! Super smooth action, with great ergonomics. The coil is a little big, but when I really squeeze down on it the skin on my pointer finger flattens out a little and the extra room on the coil more than accommodates my extra large size hands. This is not a small knife, it's on the heavy side and very beefy. But I have extra large hands and my hands fit on this knife perfect however I hold it. You feel locked in when gripping this knife no matter what you're doing. I feel like I could skin a deer with this knife, cut veggies, and defend myself all in one day with this bad boy! The blade is nice and thick but thin behind the edge cause the blade is so tall that it makes it a great slicer. This is an elegent, beefy folder of a knife. I would almost call this knife a gentleman knife but it would be too heavy I think to wear in chinos or slacks. This knife is one of my favorites in my collection....

Love this knife. Phenomenal value for the price I got it at. Amazing design by Matt Degs executed flawlessly by Kizer. Light and balanced overall with a beefy blade and contoured handle. I would buy another if they offered it at the same price.

Kizer is a great brand, great Knife

This was my 3rd Kizer when I purchased it. I think ive gone on to purchase 3 more since. While it is no longer my normal daily carry, a Cerakoted ZT is, I do still keep it in rotation. It is on the heavier and larger size, but it is definitely a conversation starter and people love to look at it. Kizer also ahs fantastic support, albeit slow in responding. I had the clip on another kizer get caught on a chair and get really bent to the point it would no longer keep the knife in my pocket and they went out of their way to get a clip made that would fit that knife, as it was no longer in production and they didn't have anymore of the original clips in stock.

Just a great knife

I love the overall built and weight/heft of this knife. I find my self drawn to carry and use this knife more often than the other knives I own. I like knives with more heft and heavy use type and the Roach fits the bill. I love to flipping open and closing this knife because of the overall action of the knife. I feel the price I paid for this knife through Drop was outstanding. The only issue of this knife is the Detent. I wish it was a little stronger, but still the overall experience had been very good! I would and will buy more knife’s from Drop!

I've looked at it, but haven't handled one in person By "bulky" I meant the overall shape though, not necessarily the length. Similar to how I feel on the GPB1 and the Roach; both feel like bigger knives than they are (not that they're in any way small lol) because of the height of the blade more than the length

I have the sheepdog mini - do you know it? It's smaller than the sheepdog. I like it. I generally use smaller knives with blades around 2" when I'm out, 3" or so around home. The small hunter is also about 2".

No worries The sheepdog was actually, I think, the first Kizer that ever caught my eye, but I never did pull the trigger on it. And looking at it now, I'm fairly certain it's way too bulky for where my tastes are nowadays
