We have some great news everyone. Half of the drop has already been shipped out to you all from our vendor. The remaining half should be out the door by the end of the week.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 7/8 or sooner if something comes up.

It’s happening! Thanks to each of you, the drop was a success and we have contacted the vendor for the KRK 10S Sub Woofer and submitted the group’s order. They are now working hard and preparing your orders for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey, where our team will be standing by ready to break everything down into individual orders and reship them directly to you. We currently expect to have everything out of our warehouse and on its way to you by 7/3.
We will certainly keep you up to date on the process and provide all of you with updated information about the order status as soon as it becomes available to us.
You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 7/1.

We are back with a quick update. The vendor has informed us that they expect to have these units available by week’s end. We expect them to ship by then, and for our warehouse to receive the shipment during the middle of next week. Once received, our warehouse team will work hard to turn the order around as quickly as possible.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 5/20 or sooner if something comes up.

It’s a go! Thanks to all of you for being a part of this successful drop. We have submitted the group’s order with the vendor for the KRK 10S Sub Woofer. They are currently preparing the shipment and once we receive it at our warehouse in New Jersey, we’ll separate everything into individual orders and send them out to you! We expect your orders will be in transit from our warehouse by 5/20.
In the meantime, we’ll do everything we can to update you on information we receive from the vendor about your order status so you know the location of your order throughout the process.

Regardless of the SUB, in question, "room treatment " or NOT . Room Placement is No Less, if Not MORE critical, than for your Monitors. In Most cases, You would Never place Those in a Corner. Yet for Subs, that " Home Theater " approach persists ! Getting a SUB, to boost It's output by Corner Placement: Boosts & exaggerates the 300 hz region (for sure) That's easy. But terrible for Music ! Stands (As They may have to be taken off the floor ? That is Design permitting. As those with Downward Firing Woofers DON'T ) and or Isolation systems, may be required. I prefer Room Coupling with Spikes or pointy studs. (But, Isolation on the Monitors, themselves) I humbly suggest, that since Placement is paramount; that a even modest "home sub" ie. the Andrew Jones designed - Pioneer SW-8mkII ( 8''sub - $160 List Price) will Out Perform All the Pro Subs mentioned here, If critical placement is called into play .... just sayin' ;)
edit - I apologize for turning this into a Primer. But money, can Only be well spent; If one is making an informed decision. Many Rooms in our homes are less than Ideal. More often then Not, a Room may have Bass Nodes .... Standing Waves. Anomalies which Don't have a simple EQ fix. A method that does break - up Standing Waves, is the use of Stereo Sub Woofers. (do - able , with the Pioneers, at just over $300 !) Added PROS: NOT only are You pushing 2Xs More Air, an additional increase of 3db , across the Sub's bandwidth. Meaning, You can turn down the Subs Volume "a notch" and get a bump in Dynamic Range, with less Harmonic Distortion, than Using a single "sum mono" Sub. None of these methods alone, are a miracle cure. But Hiding the SUB, in the Corner is a DON'T. The Sub, has It optimal 'spot'. At times, positioning the Sub closer to satellites, is a necessity, to achieve the proper level of intergration , with the Monitors (Crossover Point dependent) It would appear that the notion that , " Subs are always 'décor friendly", is really a Myth.
