Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Now I know what headphones scaling up with your gear means. This amp really makes them shine and I highly recommend it next time it drops.
All of this is with stock tubes, I can't wait to see what some recommended tubes to do the sound.
I understand the popularity of balanced output, considering this is a dual-mono amp I'm pretty sure that is impossible without completely redoing the amp. Since we can never have enough good gear, I would still argue this amp is definitely worth giving a shot and you can have others to satisfy that need.
I have the Schiit Valhalla 2 which I find magnificent with the Sennheisers (both HD6XX) but this one has allways attracted me.
Are you comparing this LaFigaro with other amps like the Valhalla 2?
you know quality or our expectations depends a lot of the price we pay, so I would like to know if this one, being almost 75% more expensive, is a consiiderable upgrade t0 the Valhalla 2.
Thanks for the review
From what I understand, Chinese amps tend to be "gooey" and alter the sound too much. Fortunately the La Figaro does not do this. Also 6AS7 tubes tend to make for good amps and this should be a noticeable upgrade from your Valhalla. Worst case scenario it can be sold on eBay if you don't like it but shipping costs are a pain, this amp is heavy!
I have mine paired with a Mimby which I really like. Eventually planning on upgrading to the Gumby.
