Thanks Brian, I appreciate how active and quick you are to respond. Regarding interest, I still have yet to see the refund, and given how long everything else has taken I'm sure you can understand my skepticism. What's so upsetting to me is seeing how quick Massdrop employees are to respond to a comment about someone finding the same product elsewhere for cheaper, while ignoring comments asking for help. Feels shady, more sales/less customer service oriented. Might be better if Massdrop Support promptly responded to inquiries, but that also doesn't seem to be the case and is not what I experienced. I believe Massdrop is legit, but am not convinced it takes care of its community members, especially after all of this. Because of that I'll be going elsewhere to find a TV.

I would counter your statement because the charge went into my last billing cycle and I have not received a refund.

Can't you just make the input itself game mode?

NHollsYeah, I guess that makes sense and I guess that was their general idea, however, I have a DreamScreen TV backlight thingy that also acts like a hub, and I have a couple of consoles and a Roku connected to it, so all of that uses a single hdmi port and automatically switches between devices when I turn them on (this way I never have to manually switch hdmi inputs) so... :)

This an authorized dealer? Not that I hesitate to to buy gray market as long as I find reputable buyer. Had nothing but good luck.
Sorry to hear you had trouble but very happy to hear you had no issues getting service and getting taken care of. Thank you for sharing this with the community!

Tex-ArozziSo the "Massdrop is great!" guy gets a response but my question goes unanswered. Honestly not looking to antagonize, just curious if this is getting sorted.

For the folks considering buying one, I endorse this product. I bought an LG OLED E7P five months ago and it has been amazing. Not a twinge of buyers regret (other than wishing that I paid for the 65-inch over the 55-inch) - it looks as good in your living room as it does in the store. OLED is a revolutionary TV technology - the fact that black pixels are completely off makes a huge difference in light/dark contrast, making the colors naturally bright and saturated. The TV interface is very responsive and modern - I love the Wii style TV remote - the cursor moves where you point the remote (the cursor fades away a minute after you set the remote down). I'm not sure that the LG brand OLED is superior to other companies, but I can tell you that OLED is the best TV display technology on the market now (except in very bright rooms) - better than QLED (which is why QLED is mimicing the OLED name) and I expect OLED to become the standard over the next few years.

TenYearTexanYou people are SO obsessed with Trump that you can’t even write a review with trying to take cheap, tacky and unintelligent shots at him. Way to go there sparky. Smfh

ATrueTexanPatriotA fair point, sir. I've removed the snarky comment. This television, as far as I know, has no political affinities.

@B.Hutch@AKRacing It seems that by and large the top complaint is with FedEx shipping. Is there any way Massdrop can ensure "Fragile" labels are added to the packages before distribution to us customers?

Thanks for the response, but it didn't answer my question. I understand you're shipping 100s of TVs, but its clear that people in the community (myself included) are hesitant to join drops because it seems Massdrop is cutting costs by going cheap on shipping. The number of TVs delivered actually damaged might be few, but I'd argue the number of comments claiming poor handling by FedEx make up more than a "small percentage" in the last couple of months.

whitew2Unfortunately we can not add fragile labels to the boxes before distribution.

TraeCoI’m with you. I just joined massdrop specifically looking for an LG OLED, but I have to say the way the damages have been handled seriously turned me off. I don’t understand how they expect you to inspect the shipment in the presence of a FedEx driver. They usually just ring my doorbell and leave!

I received my TV yesterday. The FedEx driver would not let me open the box to inspect it prior to signing for the delivery. After going back and forth with her for a few minutes, she stated that it was FedEx's policy to not let a box be opened until it was signed for and that I would have to take it up with the vendor.
I was able to inspect the shipping box and that looked to be in good shape so I signed for it. Luckily, the TV came out without any damage as I'm not sure what I would have been able to do if there was any. Seems as though MassDrop needs to pick their shipping vendors more carefully.

lg_tv_18I was extremely concerned as well when I received notification that my TV was being delivered by FedEx and not through an actual delivery service as stated by Massdrop on the information page; it's unclear why some of us are subjected to FedEx, whereas others are not. Thankfully my TV is fine, and the delivery person was kind enough to help me slide the inner box from the outer one. The reason I am commenting here is that he said it was my right to inspect it prior to signing. I doubt he would have been pleased if I began trying to unpack it for further inspection, which would have been impossible to do without assistance. Sorry to hear about yours!
