Th0mbusIn the Bay Area. First suggested Tuesday the 31st. Now updated to Saturday the 28th. Still surprised my Korean TV is coming from Edison, New Jersey, but pleased about the updated ETA and looking forward to setting it up this weekend!
I thought I'd chime in on my experience with this drop. It shipped 7 days earlier than the expected date (awesome). And arrived in great shape no problems. Wall mounted it with a fancy OmniMount full motion over my fireplace. LOVE IT! Today I got an email from LG that it had been registered with my serial number and model number. I hadn't signed up for an account on lg.com but my email (same as massdrop) was "already in use" so I did a password change and logged in. It's showing up right there in my new LG account as a registered product with full warranty. So Massdrop must have registered my tv with LG for me. Really happy with this drop. Great price. Fast shipping. Can we finally put this "no warranty, Massdrop isn't an authorized vendor" stuff to bed now? It was annoying how often this misinformation comes up in this discussion thread.
The problem is Massdrop KNOWS about the issue and can't resolve it but continues to advertise everything's kosher. That's why I even brought this up to begin with lol.
ecolemanUhm, that's pretty much standard practice with MD. They just HATE correcting any erroneous information or double-checking it before posting on their website. Every other drop has wrong info in it and MD doesn't care.
Is there such a thing as a 4K HDR "dumb" TV? I swear such a thing doesn't exist, I've looked everywhere and hope someone might be able to point me in the right direction. I just think "smart" TVs are ass and aren't ever updated.
Pioneer seemed like they were doing good stuff with with TVs a while back. I was coveting a Kuro plasma back around the turn of the decade. Until you mentioned it, I didn't realize that I didn't see anything from them this time around. They seem to have dropped out of the market.
GunsOfBrixtonThey’ve been out of the tv market for over 5 years. I still regret being a cheapskate & buying a Samsung rather than a Pioneer 5020 at Costco.
Yes of course the scam sites "sell" them lower... I've looked and no legitimate seller is besting Massdrop recently on these OLED's. Don't let the sad state of American politics dilute your understanding of the word fake. Fake means "not real" and these are most certainly real, it does not mean "something you don't like". Why would a business aim for "break even"? You can't grow a business on "break even".... this isn't a church it's a retail drop site ya idget.
RJCBJust an FYI... They are a known scam website. Someone actually commented about this on the first drop. They are known for selling refurbished, open box, used, B goods, unwarranted products as new products. Would strongly recommend staying away from that site.
I didn't think this was such a great deal for Massdrop. I got mine for $1,194.94 at Amazon with a Guaranteed delivery in 3 days. Massdrop needs to step up their game in their prices... It's now going for $ 1,186.95 on Amazon, w/ Prime free 2 day shipping.
Amazon down to $1,894.95 now....I guess depending on where you are, massdrop might be on par since they do not add taxes for all US states. Amazon & Dell appear to be adding taxes which takes it up to around the same price as this drop. Dell sweetens the deal w/ the $300 gift card though...
Howdy Everyone,
Just a reminder....
Yes, competition pricing is at $1599.99 on the 55" B7A. We are still $100 cheaper than anyone.
However the 65" B7A is being offered in the drop for $2099.99. $400 cheaper than market price.
These are brand new in the box with full LG warranty and support.
Cheers.
Tvsuperstores is a scam site. theyll either never ship, ship grey market or Refurb as new, or demand extra after you’ve Orderded They’re explicitly not an lg authorized seller. So no warranty to boot.
Any gamers out there who can comment on playing on an OLED like this one? I'm about ready to upgrade from my 8-year-old Panasonic plasma and I'm wondering if this is the one for me. I've heard good things about OLED but would love your real-world opinions!
InfinimbalIf you're looking for a more budget option for gaming the D65U-D2 still looks amazing (though an OLED will be an improvement), is 65" vs. 55", nearly half the price (refurbished), does 4k, good PC input, and has industry-lowest input lag at around 16ms (on game mode on the single high speed hdmi port). One of the best purchases I've ever made - though I look forward to affordable, low-input-lag OLEDs and this definitely seems to be getting there.
Definitely drunk shopping tonight. Not sure how my wife's going to feel about this but in my defense I preordered the Xbox One X tonight too so I'm going to need 4K and HDR. She'll understand.
