Just got this in the mail. Has a thick blue line down the middle when it's on. Waiting for Massdrop support. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a response? And to get a replacement?
So after a LOT of reviews, research, I tried to find a store with the SJ8000 on display. It was, funnily enough, beside an MU8000 (the other TV i've been researching). Given the RGBW structure, and the IPS Panel, I'd strongly advise people to not buy this TV. If you must go LG, pay $100 more and get the SJ8500, which at least is a traditional RGB panel (IPS display still, but that's fine).
Please show me where this is true ive done research and never saw mention of a different display structure if thats the case i wont be purchasing this TV.
GalAngelIt's using a IPS display, of course the back lighting is going to be bad and if people are looking into buying a mid-range TV, it should be obvious they can't afford an OLED TV. (Maybe in a few years when the price drops down to $600)
WHY would anyone consider "buying" a TV here. The prices are always higher here than other, reputable sellers online; sellers who offer full support and free returns, sellers who use freight companies familiar with handling big items, sellers who deliver within a week of ordering. I got this tv in 60' for a hundred less, two weeks ago, it arrived within 3 days to NYC in perfect condition, backed up by no hassle free return. It is just beyond me, why anyone bothers to spend more for a "final sale" here and then to wait weeks for delivery?
BolekI do not think it is fair to "advertise" here other sellers. I may however say that many of the better deals are to be found using slickdeals, fatwallet or even google shopping. I utilized slickdeals to find my tv.
bzyhtyI bought this TV last time it dropped and my TV came cracked as well. I contacted customer service and they are able to send you a replacement not just a refund. They will also send you a label to ship back the cracked TV
Petrim460Same story here.Just looked up the tracking number in the label they send me on Fedex and it says 1lbs. Not sure if Fedex will take it since the package is 60lbs.
Received shipment 4/4, proceeded to unpack and install today but the tv screen was damaged (cracked). There was no visible damage to box. Contacted support but have not heard back yet about what to do next. Bummer, but hopefully problem is taken care of quickly.
Crashspeederright... i don't even need a new tv right now and this is tempting me..... i hoping by next black friday/christmas though we can get oled uhd panels at or near the 800-1k range from quality manufactures.... i know everyone has thier pefrence and i'm a sony guy, usually a bit higher/over priced depending on how you look at it, lol, so i might be waiting a while for my perfect sony oled panel but i'd be quite happy to snag a panny and or LG if they are in that price range this coming winter.....that said, i'd like to enjoy my summer before thinking to much about winter! lol.
