Anybody had issue with Massdrop purchase before? I purchased this TV in December. When I inspected the TV, there were scratch marks on the bottom of the stand that shows the TV is not brand new. I refused the shipment. I've been communicating with Dave R. at Massdrop since 12/26/2018 but there is no solution to date (2 weeks already).
Hopefully this pops again before it has to compete with "Black November". It was everything I could do to not pull the trigger on it beforehand but it dropped right after I had committed to a new car.
This will be an excellent way to endure the coming cold months.
TV arrived a couple days ago. It's awesome.
How do I get warranty for this? I've emailed massdrop twice. No anwser. My shipping invoice says it came from Beach Camera. I don't really want to start harrasing them.
Going g to try here in case anyone from Massdrop looks in these threads. I updated my info per warranty instructions in the drop before ever joining it.
EzkillI actually received an email from LG thanking me for registering, which means that either Massdrop or Beach did it on my behalf. This was on Sept. 27th if that helps.
Bulldogz4EvaMassdrop responded to my email saying they would look into it. About an hour later I received my email from LG matching my serial number. Someone probably missed registering mine. Massdrop customer service took 5 days to respond but once they did it was rectified quickly. I'm glad. I didn't want to contact beach or use the QR code text option to try to register directly with LG. Not sure what would have happened if I had. Glad massdrop came through.
TV arrived last week and initially everything seemed fine. Yesterday, though, I noticed an annoying buzzing sound coming from the back of the display during certain movie scenes (first noticed near the beginning of Blade Runner 2049). Trying to see if I can pin down the cause, but curious if anyone else has experienced this?
Oh, interesting! Can you say more about what you did there? So do you still have sound running out of HDMI ARC? That's what I'm doing and is the only way I can make my receiver configuration work. What do you mean be setting all other sources to 0? Hope this works! I actually had a technician come out yesterday and he ordered me a new power supply, but honestly I think he was just guessing what the issue was.
esingleyHit the gear icon on remote and go to the red megaphone. Select a source "optical" for instance and then make sure volume is zero. Go through all of them and make sure they are all set to 0. Basically make sure volume on all sources other than HDMI ARC are at 0.
So TV got transferred a final time to a company called Zipp Express, they called to setup a delivery, first available is Tuesday. Primed wall I'm mounting on this morning, will paint tomorrow, touch up Monday, and hopefully be ready to mount when it arrives Tuesday!

Just wanted to ask you really quickly about the warranty email. How many days after shipping did you get it? And did it come from LG?
I filled out my information and phone number before buying the tv as per instructions. I think the TV will be here locally by mid to end of week. Mine shipped a week after yours but delivery to the US west coast is pretty fast.

Just logged in today to check my order as the TV was supposed to ship today and my order was CANCELED!!! No advnace notice, reason nothing! Not to mention my credit card was charged and paid already!!!

About 90 min AFTER the delivery Window. This dispatch team is horrible.
In any case, got the TV up and running. Nothing crazy smashed with the box other than normal dents from banding.
Got it temporarily set up and it looks / works fantastic!
Called TeamWW, they said I was just outside of the delivery zone and they would be transferring to another company to deliver. That finally happened yesterday and they gave me a new tracking number. Called that company this morning (ForwardAIR) and they said someone would be calling me today to schedule delivery. So we will see.
