I am using Fostex th-X00 Ebony's and damn do they sound good. The tubes (stock 6JI's) did sound super bright and just horrible for the first 8 hours of listening. That being said, the highs have come down a ton and the bass is starting to tighten up a bit. I wanted to burn these in and really get to know the stock sound of the amp before I start tinkering so I have a good baseline. I'll update after I have over 50 hours on the tubes. I'm excited to start rolling tubes and OPAMPs. Let the journey begin!
