A Tough Tactically Inspired Chronograph
With a motto like “Dare to LIV,” it wouldn’t make sense for LIV Watches to make subtle, nondescript timepieces. So it doesn’t. A Swiss-made 45-millimeter chronograph, the Genesis X1 quartz watch is tactically inspired with a look somewhere between secret mission and black-tie dinner party. Spaced out in intervals of two, the large Arabic numerals are separated in two, calling to mind a digital watch display. Between them is a sunburst inner dial that’s partially covered by three separate subdials, two of which are tied to the chronograph. At 4 o’clock, just outside the inner dial is a date window. Orange accents throughout add an element of sportiness, which, in combination with the aggressively knurled bezel, give the Genesis a rugged appearance. Looks are not deceiving, either, as the watch is water resistant to 300 meters and backed by a stainless steel case and sapphire crystal.
