Not a fan of canvas mixed with beautiful leather. Would pay more for all leather bag. Okay went to website and saw this: https://lm-products.myshopify.com/collections/leather-goods/products/the-calhoun-satchel Please run a drop on the "Calhoun."

I normally carry MDR-Z7 headphones, PHA-2 portable headphone amplifier, Bullet Journal, pen, few small cables and sometimes a Nintendo Switch.

browncoreThanks for the info. I loaded one up with some objects that are roughly the same size as the specs I looked up. Without having the exact goods - here's how I see that carry playing out. The headphones & amp fit in the main compartment along with a few cables. The journal fits in back pocket and the pens fit in the leather pocket. The Nintendo switch should fit beside the Journal on the days you are carrying the full load. You'll likely be on the longest hole extension on the strap. So, this combo of goods should max out the capacity of the bag. Again - that's my best estimate using some random objects around the shop as a proxy for your carry. Hope that's helpful!

rayce444Really appreciate that. It's all about using good materials. The leather has a beautiful two-tone pull up to it that garners an amazing patina with a little bit of wear. The wax canvas also has that effect as well. Together, it makes for one of our favorite and most practical pieces we make. Looking forward to making yours.

Hey Tyler, is the Whiskey option all leather (at least on the exterior)?
And would love a pic of this being held by the handle, just because I'm not a huge fan of shoulder straps, but looks like it could be a great choice for an everyday bag.

Antoine3390 is correct - Exterior is leather, interior pockets are waxed canvas.
There are actually 3 inside pockets. 2 half-width pockets and one full-width pocket. All are waxed canvas.
I'll snap a picture of the bag being held by the handle. While you can certainly carry this by hand, we have some bags MassDrop routinely runs with more padding on the grip i.e. The Rutledge that might be a little more geared towards a daily briefcase style carry. This Commuter bag was primarily designed as a traditional messenger style, with the focus on being carried over the shoulder. While this would probably be a great bag for you, I just want you to know some of the other option as well - so you get the best one for you!
