M&O’s MOOH-BE00BT (or MOZero) headphones have been turning heads at CanJam events: inexpensive and well-liked, they represent an impressive value in the closed-back category. The 45-millimeter drivers use beryllium, a material that’s rarely found even in much more expensive models Read More
Pretty disappointed in Massdrop. I just bought these headphones six weeks ago for $125 and then they turn around and have them for $100. It’s bullshit.
Firstly; I’m super disappointed that we paid extra 25$ on first drop and now it is going less!! That’s indeed not fair and Massdrop should refund us specially it is with 1 month!
Secondly the sound seems okay however the Bass is not as strong as I expected. My open back Senni 6XX modded has same bass and that headphones not been made for bass (just normal bass at its best).
thirdly; have anyone notice the 3 holes on the Right cup seems closed?!
Lastly; quality like a 10 bucks headphones
PrutserThanks for the question. As many headphone users are becoming aware, the various properties of earpads (shapes, sizes, materials, etc.) greatly affect the resulting sound. The best pads for you will depend on the sound signature you desire. Without getting too wordy, I'll just say that I no longer recommend Brainwavz' standard (synthetic leather) HM5 pads due to poor air ventilation causing the wearer's ears to get warm after even brief use.
Instead, I recommend Brainwavz' Micro Suede Pads (oval). Or if you desire a bit more-spacious sound (with more-intimate) vocals, choose the dark grey velour pads from the brand misodiko (Amazon item B07QWZYTGF). Though, they don't breathe quite as well as the Brainwavz Micro Suede.
All this being said, I wouldn't buy these Bluetooth headphones after hearing so many reporting build quality issues. If your in the market for a wired headphone, you can't go wrong with the shockingly-impressive BLON B8 headphones - offered right now on Drop - as long as you plan to pad-swap.
Left is new pad right is original pad.
These were $15 when I bought them they are not less than $10 with free shipping. I'd buy a couple to be honest just to have on hand. I never thought I had big ears but the original feels like an on ear to me so this was a big improvement for not much money. They installed pretty easily and were comfortable from the start and seal very well, they do pretty well on noise isolation on a plane.
I'd say buy a pair from Monoprice and try it out see how it works and if you want later get some brainwavz, however I think these pads are rebranded brainwavz but no memory foam.
mrpink57Thanks for the reply man! I actually ended up going with brainwavz and though they were a pain to get on i am super happy with the result. I could be trippin since its impossible to just switch them back and forth but i don'
The thin plastic, that wraps one side of the metal band, broke on one side of mine. Anybody know a fix?
Tried sugru but it doesn't fix the original tightness, and the cup doesn't sit flush on that side.
I broke a piece and MO Electronics were very helpful in replacing the part. They also ran out of screws. They gave me the wrong size specs to buy in the meantime, but when they discovered the specs were wrong. They sent the replacements as soon as they got them back in stock 4 stars
QwervyLike I said they will send the part without question if they fail. I think the black zip ties has kept mine from another fail. You can probably find them on ebay for $50, not a huge amount to loos if they break within a year. Also be advised, they do need a pad swap if you ask me. The pads are thin with little cushion and the driver casing touches the ear without a better pad. I have HM5 pads on mine. All that said, of all my headphones the M&O are the most used. Partly because they're closed which works for gaming and partly because they're cheap so I care less if they break, rather than nice wood cup Fostex or giant M1060c.
For anyone curious I purchased the monoprice pleather memory foam pads and finally received them and here is the outcome. They are not an extremely tight fit but do fit fine and are much more comfortable than the stock pads to me.
They are not as thick as the stocks but as you can see at least a three knuckle for size I'd say they are a replica of the HM5 pads but for no more than 16.99 from monoprice, they have velour option also but I would think those would not be great on a can that I use to isolate on trips, since they would leak too much sound both ways.
I never thought I had big ears but the stocks make them basically on ears or I can cram my ear in there and it was not that comfortable to me, these my ears fit perfectly.
If you want any other photo looks let me know.
Bob3600Not at all they just slide over the little edge takes a minute to swap the pads. Worth it if your ears hit inside of the current pads which mine did. These are also softer I found and are I think on sale right now on monoprice with free shipping.
I am also interesting in trying the velours to see what sound signature they give.
Pachoo5Mine broke in the same place last night. They're about 4 months old. The clamp that holds the band together with the swivel just flew off as I removed the cans from my head. With closer inspection it looks like the 2 screws that hold it together simply stripped out of the plastic screw shaft.
