I really don't see the point of wireless keyboards outside of basically the couch. It basically sits still - why make it something where you need to bother with batteries?
Is that what Linus pushes? Do you use it? It seems cool but I've always been skeptical. I just use a USB switch for my keyboard and mouse, but I've also only got 2 machines in the mix at any given time.
d_flo_yoHaven't seen him push it in a while, but yeah. I also haven't used it in about a year - no longer have 2 separate machines at home, but when I did it was absolutely seamless. It was basically like having 2 full screened VMs next to each other, from an end user perspective.
sengeThanks for answering! But damn, it's over. Is that going to be run again anytime soon or is there somewhere else I can grab the logo-less version?
My only gripe with the Magicforce 68 is the branding above the arrow keys. If only they could make it removable or produce some without it. Otherwise a great board.
marcos100I'm glad you found out before the drop ended, though. Imagine how you'd feel if you opened that box after waiting for months and the logo was there.
eshameIt was a joke, sorry for that not making that more evident.
The reason why you have to pay for something before it ships is because Massdrop has to pay to stock the item. Because they do not have these items in stock, they collect the funds required to purchase the goods, receive the shipment, then are able to ship out to the users who joined the drop. Because of this, you need to pay up front, so they have the money to purchase from the vendor.
Hopefully my explanation makes sense.
I'm not gonna lie. I'm only gonna buy from now on, hot swappable devices, but if this device would be hot swappable and would be an barebone option, cheaper and without keycaps and switches, i really think i would consider it. As i did with the CTRL by Massdrop.
But really, Qisan, hot swappable and barebone options, please, you have the rest for my part.
How is the programmability possible on this board? Via GMK? I bought CTRL, i really don't mind to pay a little bit more. But what i ask is a nice product, "modular", i mean with this, that there's an option of barebone, and nice features, the rest is up to us.
