Not worth it. There are four picks in there you'll actually use (despite every beginner kit coming with that snowman pick for some reason). This kit looks like it's made from spring steel, which is okay, but stainless would be better and is easily doable at this price point. The tension wrenches are run-of-the-mill. No prybars, not even twisted tension wrenches. The case might be the nicest part of the entire kit.
$40 can buy you much nicer and well rounded beginner pick sets. I'd recommend passing on this one.

How do I get a refund? The pics that showed up at my house are not the ones that I was expecting even the pouch is different than the drop.

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Majestic 16 Piece Lockpick Set and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 3/9.

Someone at massdrop needs to do a little research or ask someone who knows what they are talking about on how to assemble a small reasonably complete beginners lock pick set.... A couple of hooks, a reach, a full/half diamond, a deforrester, maybe a gem, a bogata, a city rake , snake rake, peterson prybars and half dozen bottom of the keyway picks and you have a over the top beginners set for pin tumbler locks with norml key ways. 10'ish picks, 10'ish tension tools. Skip the case or pick up one of sparrows for $10 very functional or Peterson's $50 leather obscenely nice. Add some narrow picks of the same type for paracentric keyways. Add some flags for dimple locks. There are a small number of good manufacturers that Massdrop could easily reach out to and create a good value proposition. It doesn't seem like they are doing the leg work and research required for them to be earning their profit on these.

A brief update. We spoke to the vendor earlier today and were notified that they are phasing out the zipper case in the drop description in favor of newly designed snap cases (pictured here). This will unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your preferences, affect the entire group. We are trying to see if the vendor can get a sizable amount of zipper cases from other channels, but based on our conversation this will be a real stretch. Since the listing was for the zipper cases and those are not the same item we are able to offer you, we are currently offering cancellations to those of you who are no longer interested. You can do that by sending a quick message to https://www.massdrop.com/support.
Because of this unexpected change, we now anticipate the group's order arriving first thing next week and will have them turned around as soon as possible. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 5/19 .

Another quick update for the group. We are very close to having all of these in our warehouse and ready for reshipment to each of you. Unfortunately, the vendor has let us know that there was a minor setback with some of the cases for these and they will be overnighting new ones to complete the group's order immediately. We expect these to be received in full and shipped out to each of you by the end of the week and will prioritize the shipment with our warehouse team.
Thanks again for your ongoing patience and expect an update from us on 5/15 or sooner if something comes up.
