Lightweight yet extremely durable, 1000D Cordura has proven its worth in harsh outdoor weather time and time again. And that’s why it’s the material of choice for each of these hiking packs from Manhattan Portage. Flexible enough to adapt to your belongings and tough enough to protect them, each pack is covered with water-resistant coating for rainy missions. They all have padded, adjustable shoulder straps for comfort and carry loops for one-handed toting.
Note: At checkout, choose between the Inwood pack, Daypack (+ $8), and the Greenbelt pack (+ $29). Each is available in a variety of colors.
The base drop is for the Inwood pack, which has large zippered side pockets and a large main compartment with an interior divider to separate your equipment. The Daypack has a similar design, but has extra storage for longer missions. The largest pack in the drop is the Greenbelt. A true backpacker’s carry, it’s got 24 liters of space and a top-loading design. The waist and chest straps help balance the weight of the load.
More than 30 years ago, Manhattan Portage set out to make a bag that was “New York Tough”—a sturdy, expertly crafted carryall that people on the go could depend on. The result was the company’s original messenger bag, which combined the functionality of outdoor gear with streamlined city style. Today, the product line has expanded to include backpacks, laptop bags, and bike cases catering to students, working professionals, and travelers alike.
