They put their "CAGE U. S. 5VK" to make this look like it's US army issue like most of their over priced items (i do realise some may be actually issued to soldiers " Bit dodgy.

Again, why is this small and lightweight item priced at US$32 postage to Australia?

DisposaleerYeah usually stuff like this is only about 8 dollars to post to Malta but it's showing 44 USD instead. Double the price of the lighter.

DisposaleerThanks for flagging this, it was an issue with our shipping calculator defaulting to 'signature required' for international. I've corrected that and you should see much more reasonable rates now. CC: @Disposaleer @markgri @TmassdropV @Swing4gr8ness @jon.erling.skogland @j2r67 @swimjay @Tennison

The main advantage of this over a Zippo is that it's much more airtight, so the fluid takes way longer to evaporate compared to a Zippo. Zippos evaporate in a week or so, but this will stay filled for months, maybe a year or more.

The pictured item doesn't look like anodized aluminum. It looks like the titanium version which is more expensive. Something is clearly amiss here since you can buy a stainless version for $19.99 and the aluminum one for $23.50. I'm thinking they are selling the more expensive titanium one.

***UPDATE These are supposed to be $19.99 - fixing it now! Thanks all.
@LSK3 This is type III hard anodization a slightly different process than normal color anodizing.

Massdrop still has this listed as 32 USD postage to Australia. Enough people have pointed this out so I guess it is not an error. They have a tent listed elsewhere with almost the same postage cost. Is there any justification?

Silicon grease (thick sticky kinf, not the spray o kind)may help lubricate the o-ring and keep it from deteriorating as quickly. I use it on my dive camera gaskets and it makes a nice air tight seal too.

Swing4gr8nessBecause it is small enough to fit on a key chain and supposedly with the screw top the liquid doesn't evaporate away as fast.
