Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I strongly suggest you to buy some tubes, my two favorite onew are Mullard M8161 & Voskhod 6ZH1-EV, both great but different. They require some burn-in to reach their full potential, specially the Voskhods because they have some background noise for the first 50 hours or so. For further info about tube rolling, check this post: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/little-dot-tube-amps-vacuum-tube-rolling-guide.563884/
The most silent tubes I've heard are the Mullard M8161, they have 0 noise or hiss, dead silent. I also like their sound, a bit more intimate and brighter than the Voskhod, while the latter have a bit more soundstage, more clarity and better mids.
