There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. The reason for that distinction is clear--Panda bears, only come in the first arrangement. Now at this point, everyone should be thinking about the most well-know Panda, The Rolex Panda, which is actually a Daytona, and among Rolex Daytonas, the most famous of which is the Paul Newman Daytona, which was famous first, because it was Paul's, and second because it sold at auction for $17.8 million (US Dollars). The story of that auction is well-known so I'll only...

Hi All - I have another update for you all. Everyone who opted-in early for the first round of shipments was shipped their pad . . . and then maybe an extra one. It seems that our friends at Klymit, in their rush to ship this out, accidentally double-shipped some. By now you should all have received an email from our team, kindly asking you to return the pad. We'll of course pay for shipping, and we'll send you a $5 coupon. Please consider that the second pad you received was actually intended for another member, who has been waiting just as long as you for their pad, and they will have to sleep on the dirt until they get their pad.
[Updated July 19, 2017] Thank you all for communicating with us during the process of developing these pads. I'll be honest - our team here is not really set up to handle a drop like this, and we've struggled to promptly respond to every one with a consistent, accurate message. Much of that blame falls to me and so I am deeply sorry. By now, most pads have been delivered. The last shipment will ship shortly, if it hasn't already. For the few people who have had issues with being cancelled off, thank you for your patience while we take care of you. We have received your comments to Community Service and will help you out, even if you get a generic response or slightly conflicting message the first time around.
There is one issue remaining - the Long/Wide pads have a bulge in the top chamber. It is about 3" thick there, whereas the rest of the pads is 2" thick. This is not a defect with just a few pads, as all of the Long pads are like this. We didn't realize the design would create a bump so pronounced. However, since the bulge is where a pillow would go, it actually is positive feature for some owners. I have slept on my Long pad four nights last week, and didn't notice the bulge once I had the pad properly inflated. That being said, this was not the intended design and so we have been working to come up with a fix for those of us who are displeased with the bulge.
Thank you again, Danny
My earlier messages remain below:
[updated July 10] To Those Who Joined This Drop,
**UPDATE - the pads started to ship on Friday, July 7. You should get tracking info in the next day or two. We've had about 75% of our members respond so far, with 100% of the respondents opting-in for the pads. We still need to reach the other 25% to confirm they still want the pad and we'll mail them out in the coming days. Thanks! ** I need you to check your inbox immediately as our Community Support Team is sending an email with instructions on how to still receive your pads. FTC regulations mandate that if our shipping is sufficiently delayed, then we must certify that you are still interested in buying the product. So, we have made a very easy Google opt-in form for you to stay in the drop. But YOU must act soon to keep your spot. Per FTC, the default is to cancel unless you opt in by a certain date. The earlier you opt in, the earlier you should get your pad. We will ship out in intervals as we reach certain number of confirmations from you over the next two weeks. You have until July 12 to opt-in and our final shipment will be by July 18. I recognize that this is an inconvenience to everyone - you have already been waiting patiently for several months for this, and if you haven't cancelled yet, it's a clear sign that you want to still get your pad. However, we must adhere to this law and are trying to make it as easy as possible for you. Our Community Support Team is aware of the situation and ready to handle any questions. I'll be monitoring the discussion here and will respond quickly to any of your questions, even over the holiday weekend. For some background, we had an original ship date of June 2 but had to push that back to June 30. As of last week we were on track to receive the shipment from the factory when a slight delay overseas means that we can only ship next week at the earliest - just barely past the FTC deadline. It's prime backpacking season and I want to get these pads to you as soon as possible. So please check your email and follow the instruction for opting-in.
Thank you and please post any questions below. -Danny (the guy responsible for this pad . . . and the delay . . . and the bump in the Large pad)
Matt
I opt in - I am interested in receiving the pad asap as I have a trip scheduled in early to mid July.
If you cannot use this post as my opt in notification, please let me (us) know. Thanks!
Edit: Got it and filled. Looking forward to an update.
We'll continue to ship out in batches once we hit a certain number of opt-ins. The July 15th ship date is the *final* ship date, for those that wait until the very end to opt-in. We want to give people a 2+ week window to contact us, hence that later ship date. Hope that adds a bit of clarity.
TL:DR - opt-in this weekend and your pad will be shipped next week, in time for you to get it before you next trip.
as as soon as I reciecved my email I opted in.
However now several days later My order status doesn't reflect my opt in.
Do you guys need more time to process or did something go wrong?
Thanks,
Justin

Thanks for looking into these orders.
However, there is one thing I am peeved about. It does appear the valves on the pad were enlarged a bit compared to previous review. As a result, the exped schnozzles DONT work with the pad (the connector just falls out of the valve and doesn't lock in). I bought it long ago when they were on sale on Amazon (right after I joined the drop) and can't return it now. The money I spent on the schnozzle is down the drain unless I can come up with a hack to make it work.
thanks for all the fun!!
I understand this was not a defect per say but it was made incorrectly based on photos we were shown and compared to other Klymitt pads. It would be ideal if I could receive another pad from a run made correctly but wouldnt want to wait for the same lengthy amount of time as the first. If the process klymitt is working on to alter the current pads is adequate I would be OK going that route.
Thanks for your help!
