Just got mine in the mail today, and it is awesome--exactly what I was hoping for! I have been a fan of Klymit, and especially their Static V pads, for years; but I have been hoping they would switch the valve to the style that is now on this Massdrop version. Add to this the fact that the pad has been trimmed down a bit while at the same time adding insulation (giving it the same 4.4 R-value of Klymit's winter pad at about the same weight and pack-size as the original non-insulated version), and the final result is a near-perfect sleeping pad... at least for this bike tourer. Honestly, after reading some of the other recent comments, about the only thing I would change is I would actually prefer to have the elevated "defect" that the quotation-mark-obsessed man-baby keeps jumping on everyone about. :P
All-in-all, this is a great pad. Well worth the wait!

VajtagalI honestly am interested in the extra bump for support when reading or sleeping on my side. (At 6'5", even with a supposedly "large" Sea-to-Summit pillow, my head angles downward.) What size pad do you have?

Cbahl220The only size pad to have the defect. Long/ wide. But md is supposed to be shipping me a new non defective pad.

VajtagalAwww... not the regular size I would like. But I'm glad to hear that you should have what you need soon. Happy camping! :)
