Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

This morning the estimated ship date displayed 1/16, this was an error and the estimated ship date is 2/21.
With all of our custom products, especially the first time we launch, we have a standard process for calculating the shipping date based on the worst case scenario. We take the longest estimate on parts ordering + the longest estimate on actual production and QC (at many stages, from incoming parts to final assembly and then after shipping tests) + any holidays + adding some extra time for weather or unforeseen events.
I have updated the estimated shipping date to the date of 2/21 using this standard process, though we will be trying to ship earlier.
My apologies if this causes any issues with those of you who have already ordered. We’re very excited about this project and the feedback that we have gotten from community members so far. We’re making this one just for you…
Sorry, I appreciate the time and energy that was spent on these and your obvious passion for them, but I've pretty much lost all interest for the time being because they're so far away.
In the meantime, I have a pair of Pinacle PXs on the way, that I'll be able to enjoy shortly! Those I can get excited about because they're actually going to be here soon. Perhaps I'll circle back sometime next year to see what became of these and if I can get excited about them again.
We were targeting all production to take place before Christmas but to be cautious, we've placed the date where there will be no compromises on quality (of course) and we may beat expectations on shipping.
Thanks for sharing your feelings, they are always on our minds when we are working on these products and trying to bring them to you. You'll enjoy the Pinnacle PX, they're pretty great...I hope you'll enjoy the Plus as well. :)
